Mobile Phone Credit Check help...

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice..
I recently ordered a new iphone 4s on a monthly plan with 3mobile, but was unable to complete the order due to failing the credit check.
I was confused about this as I have never had money issues, so I checked my credit score with experian which came out at 842, which is a fairly good score i think.
I called 3mobile up to query the failed credit check and they said that I shouldnt have failed with my score, but they fail the odd good credit out of so many orders and I was unluckily one of these people. They said all I could do is wait 3 months and re-apply or write a letter to a department in Glasgow to appeal, which would take just as long i presume.

Id like to know weather you think it would be worth going into carphone warehouse, expaining the situation and apply again for the same contract? Ive been told their credit checks are different and I might not be so unlucky?
Sorry for this long post, its just frustrating, but i would appriciate any help?!
Thanks v much! :3

Experian's "842" is meaningless because all lenders use their own scoring systems.
I can be wrong, but I believe that ultimately it is the network who makes the decision, not CPW even if they do some provisional checks. You just will end up with yet another credit search record in your history.
3 months is not long, but as it is the computer that says NO, I don't see why it will say YES in three months.
Appeal is the way to go IMO.

Yes, appeal and get a more detailed reason, which may help you. They may just change their mind!
