  • Well after writing myself off the other day, this weekend has been very non-spendy for me :D

Friday was my sisters 21st party, so I knew I would be spending anyway and took oppotunity to put deposit down on an Xmas eve meal for me and a friend at a place near mine thats just moved. Really looking forward to it! Also knew it was last time I would see my bro before his birthday in Dec so had to put a tenner in his card! Only bought 1 drink at the party tho after that cos my craaaazy dad put money behind the bar for everyone :o wish I could afford to be so generous!

Anyway I woke up yesterday feeling like carp - thought it was just a hangover from hell but noooo my cold has re-appeared *note to self - must buy more tissues* :rotfl: so my plan of visiting the cheapy shop for toiletries was sacked off in favour of my bed!

Today was out on a rememberance parade with band, coffee in mrT whilst we waited for the service and dinner after but not spent a bean, as a very generous , foolish friend paid for everything :p as I had picked him up and dropped him off after. I will definately have to repay for that - I don't like being a user

So all in all now on 7 NSDs :T

I know how you feel - my 'dump the clean washing and close the door' room has been miraculously transformed this weekend into the play room so I had to deal with Mount Ironmore. Know what I did? Folded it all and put it away. If it needs ironing I'll do it on the day :o Don't know if that helps but hope you don't still feel like crying - you are not alone!

ETA: Oooppssss, meant to update to report no change :) Spendy day on Xmas and poss. birthday gifts today :)

  • Woop woop NSD number 5 caught today, since I don't count church collections... Really pleased to be nearly halfway!

Going to put my wages into the bank and try and persuade my sis to split the rac policy with me - it is already in two names so just needs one changing, makes a big difference to the cashflow!

    Hi lovely gang:A

Firstly, apologies for my absence over the past couple of days and the lack of updates.

I'm having a mega-busy time at work at the moment and I really needed some time away from the computer to give my eyes a rest.

The next two weeks are going to be hectic as well so I may not be around as much as usual but that doesn't mean to say that I'm not watching you all and making sure your NSDs don't fall by the wayside:D

Going to update all the totals now and do a bit of catching up but I don't think I'll be able to do a full update tonight so have some :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j from me if you've nabbed any NSDs over the weekend and a few of these as well :T:T:T:T:T:T and if you haven't managed to nab any have a ((hug)).

((((Hugs)))) to you all and remember.. I'm watching you

Ohhhhhhhh, I'm so wanting a Kindle (see my sig!) - I've added one to a basket many times during the past year but have managed to talk myself out of it so far.

I'm sure I'd save money in the long run - I only buy books at the sm (usually when £3 or 2 for £7 etc) but they must all add up.

Unfortunately the library has changed it's hours and I can't go anymore (which probably means more books being bought):(.

Is it as fab as it looks?

I love reading so I'm reading the posts re Kindles with interest!

Rising - have you tried ReadIt Swap It for getting "new" books? I had tons of books accumulated from 342's, 2 for £7 offers, charity shop buys etc. I listed them on there and have had lots of good swaps. May be something to think about as you save for your kindle?

Also, you could maybe re-sell your books on Ama$on and use the proceeds for the kindle fund!
