Reporting in with NSD#5 for Wednesday (a bit behind!). I had a very spendy day yesterday as I took the children out for a treat.
Hope everyone is well. All this talk of fleecey socks reminds me that I need to get ready for our trip to the UK for Christmas. Only one of us has a winter coat :eek:CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Good morning all!
Just catching up with you all - thanks for all your positive thoughts!
I can tell you that they worked!:j
The garage sent out a mechanic and it turns out that the battery was flat. They had taken it out to replace that headlamp, and forgotten to charge it up again. That, and the fact that the car had not been driven for two weeks, meant that it didnt want to play!
They were really apologetic so all's well!
Then the friend I was going to visit called to say she was getting home, so I didnt need to go to the hospital. I will go and see her at home once she's settled.
Soooo - although it was a spendy ( groceries at A$da) I didnt spend anything else apart from a magazine at WW ( my treat for losing weight!)
Today I've decided to give myself a break after the week I've had!
I usually go to Zumba on a Friday but I am meeting some friends for lunch in town but it would be a bit tight for time between finishing my class and getting ready to get into town for 12.00.
I am going to have a leisurely morning, walk doglet and go into town for a mooch first.
I am looking for a necklace with a bit of bling to go with my outfit for my niece's 21st next Sat. ( Any ideas - not too expensive, naturally!)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

Hope everything's OK LMH.Also i've just bought myself a new car.....honda hrv 1.6. He's gorgeous and purple and his called 'hummer'bit of a difference from 'daisyboo', my last car which is a 1ltr kia picanto! Im gonna notice the difference in petrol i reckon BUT......in my new job (i'm do homecare) alot of the calls are in the back of beyond and up country lanes so i wanted a 4x4 for when winter comes.
Congratulations! Hope Daisyboo finds a new home soon (I hate parting with my cars!).
I seriously considered changing to a 4 x 4 after last winter (Teeny's great but was unable to cope with that much snow). Haven't given in yet - mainly, as I hate the thought of forking out all the extra money (fuel, car tax etc etc) for a few weeks of the year. Will have to see how it goes this winter. The garage sent out a mechanic and it turns out that the battery was flat. They had taken it out to replace that headlamp, and forgotten to charge it up again. That, and the fact that the car had not been driven for two weeks, meant that it didnt want to play!
They were really apologetic so all's well!
Yay!:j Glad it's finally sorted.
Well, last day off work - going back on Monday and feeling quite excited (wonder how long that'll last:o) as really need to get back to RL in RL IYSWIM!:)
Need to sort the house today - it somehow seems to have turned into a disaster zone in the past couple of days (mainly down to having to empty the kitchen) and every room seems to have bits in that belong elsewhere!
Nevermind - will be giving it a wee Friday wiggle as I sort them out!
Also need to attempt another drive as really need to get some more practice in before going back to work - I'm getting there!
Happy Friday everyone!:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

:hello:
I have a rogue NSD! I went into town on Monday to pay some £1 coins into el banco, and got a library book, and SPENT NO MONEY! Possibly a record for me. So that makes 3/12 so far. Will have one today I reckon, but will confirm later on. Don't want to be counting my chickens before they hatch now!
Haven't had any more this week as went to visit Mr Lotti, and had a lovely little mini-holiday, got some Crimbo bits in his local town and we went to see Tintin on Orange Wednesdays at 3pm, so was £4 each, which I think is an acceptable price for a cinema ticket!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
