I ordered my coupon by post and went in today to redeem it. Till didn't recognise the voucher so I was sent to customer services where I encountered quite an unusual "customer service" person who didn't utter a word until coming BACK from speaking with a manager (there's me standing thinking "where's he going?!"), and then I had to answer questions about where and how I'd got the voucher before they refunded the bottle!

I went on FB when I came home, though, to find that the ginger beer company had received similar complaints but have now "had a word with" Tesco. All's well that ends well :) I like Ginger beer but hadn't tried this brand yet so worthwhile overall.

I've just received mine in the post today so I wonder how I'll get on with redeeming it.

Exactly the same thing just happened to me. The scanner would not accept the coupon and the till lady went and asked. She told me Tesco's were going to stop accepting some internet coupons:(. They did however give me the free bottle of Ginger Beer...:)
  • I had the same problems at Morrison's for the recent Hovis voucher, The assistant said that they did not accept any internet vouchers. I emailed their customer services from the web site to ask why. I got a reply to say that the store was incorrect and that they do take internet vouchers and she had advised the store manager to retrain his staff. They sent me a £5 voucher for my embarrassment, which was nice.Have yet to try to redeem the voucher though.
