Buyer hasn't paid after 4 days and I'd like to keep the item. Can I cancel the sale?

Personally I'd do nothing. Since you want the item, opening any kind of dispute or mutual request may prompt the buyer to pay.

If you do nothing, they'll probably do nothing.

You're only losing 10p in FVF's so I'd leave it.

I agree. An NPB notification for 99p is more likely to scare the buyer into paying for it and then you'll have to send it!

But then what does the OP do with the bag in the meantime? The buyer could pay much later down the line (30 days? 60 days?). If the OP has since used the bag and degraded its condition, what then?

Hi all, sorry I hadn't realised there were so many replies since I last posted.

Just to let you know I DID ask the buyer to cancel the sale after about 10 days and they agreed. I hadn't thought about the points the Captain Serenity and Soolin raised, which was pretty daft of me. And really I hadn't considered that I was being dishonest, but that is indeed what I was being. :o

Luckily, in this case, the buyer agreed to cancel the sale so this time, it was okay.

There is a non-paying bidder still out there, and I haven't helped with that. I have very much learned my lesson, to put a starting price of what I would actually be happy to sell it for and not assume it will meet that amount through bids.

Thanks once again for your replies:)
