it's still quite clear though that barclays and tesco are not linked, tesco are linked to RBS.
barclays do not issue any supermarket cards. they issue things such as tomas cook card and the like
Many thanks for the sarcastic reply, I am relatively new to credit cards so unfortunately I dont have your superior knowledge, well done you!0 -
Tesco Bank bought out RBS's share of the credit card business years ago, but it continued to subcontract the admin work to RBS until it had its own systems. It was supposed to be switching the card admin over to its own new system round about now, but after the chaos this summer that'll probably be delayed."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0

Its not a partnership, they are simply contracting the process out to RBS. TPF did for all of its lines of business when it bought RBS out of the partnership and it has been slowly transfering things either over to themselves or to different providers.0 -

working together forms a partnership and what I said is correct. my friend works in the same building that started access up yonks ago in southend and he is employed by RBS but works on Tesco Cards.
I'm not arguing I am telling you categorically that is what happens. pedantic or what! a partnership is what tesco and rbs have, in all other manners bar the actual name!

June - Sept 2012 is when they anticipate starting the process..Tesco Bank bought out RBS's share of the credit card business years ago, but it continued to subcontract the admin work to RBS until it had its own systems.
