Hi i have been off work for 7 weeks due to anziety caused at work. I have seen the ocpational nurse and they have said i can return to work only doing half day.
However the other half day will be classed as sick. i Dont understand why i have to be classed as sick as i havent been signed off and oc health have said that im fit for work.

They are saying you are fit, but only for half days. What do you think should happen to the other halves?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Your company is trying to work with you to assist your staged return to work - you are sounding uncooperative and ungrateful.
Why exactly do you have a problem with your company's proposal?:hello:0 -

What did they say when you asked them?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
It does sound like they are trying to phase you back in gently rather than throw you back in the deep end, I don't see what the problem is ..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

The problem is - that it can kick off a disciplinary after [for example] 5 separate periods of sickness. So one for the 7 weeks, and 4 separate sickness incidents in the first week [each 1/2 a day long] and bang - you are in the office being given a warning.
Much better to phase in on half days being paid half a wage, than risk disciplinaries all over the place.
Hence, asking OH the question as to why they are doing this.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Thanks thats what i was worried about0
