I have one of these and it is very good - when you taste the juice, it is alot better than the carton of juices. Also (apart from oranges and fruits with hard type skins) you can put whole fruits in and it will core and de-skin them for you.

Try using pears and apples - very scrummy and make your own cockail of fruits/vegetables!

I got a Morphy Richards one with my Nectar points. Was really excited about it, but the reality is a bit different.

With mine you have to take the skin off first, which is laborious and very sticky!

You need a load of fruit to get a decent size volume of juice, and then the thing takes about 30 minutes to wash up afterwards

I think it could be eBay for me...!

which juicer do you have? I don't want to have to skin things, just feed in whole oranges etc

I have a Jack LaLanne juicer and it reckons you can put everything in. My mum's neighbour also has one and puts oranges in with skin. The downside is that the skin can make the juice taste a bit odd,but that's got to be down to personal preference.

I did see what the juicer could do and stuck melon in without taking the skin off. It handled it well, but did taste odd too. I tend to peel citrus and hard skinned fruits now, but the opening is a lot bigger than on other machines so you don't have to cut everything up small.

My Mum has a juicer which you put the whole fruit in whole. Personally, don't like it -I find oj tastes of the pith and rind etc. & is a bit bitter.

I have a magimix. Expensive, but very happy with it! And perhaps you could get a spend off x voucher for John Lewis for example. Must be cheaper out there though I know.

    It's great in here! :)
  • I have a Magimix and I think it's brilliant - worth the money. The cheapest I found it was in Amazon:

It can be washed in the dishwasher, which is handy.

Has anyone got/tried the Rosemary Conley Juicer & Blender combo - any good?

Selling for a mere £34.50 at john lewis but my good old boots store is currently selling these not sure of price so I could pick one up for free on my points - just wanna check it isn't bad at either task or preferably good at both.

Does it take fruit whole or need chopping first, etc. ?

Any info is appreciated - thanks
  • I got an Anthony Worrall-Thompson/Breville juicer from Boots Online thanks to this website for about £48 just after Christmas. You can put whole fruit in but obviously only if it is a fruit of which you would normally eat the skin! You wouldn't normally eat orange peel or melon skin so why would you want to juice it? You do eat the skin of apples and pears therefore they can be juiced whole. This juicer takes whole apples. I have found that you get a lot of juice from apples and other hard fruit and - a reasonable-sized glass from 2 apples for example but oranges can yield disappointing amounts (depending on the type).

would be if I had a dishwasher !
