Go on then - how do buyers save money ? Far as I see it, they take the risk as if it goes missing in post, they've paid 99p for the item so will be shafted. Only reason people do it is to circumvent ebay fees. If you don't want to pay the fees, don't use ebay, simple as that.

    sorry mr or mrs ebay

id take the risk if seller had good enough feedback you gotta take into consideration the postage costs decide if its what your willing to pay

fair enough in this case id say its not but you cant blame the seller for trying

im all for the davids against the goliaths

Ah right so everyone who has said, why make the fuss or they dont see what the problem is, then you all would be happy to pay 99p for for an item and pay £50 postage for 1st class recorded.

then the item gets lost in post, and you get your 99p back for the item you bought. So you would all be happy to do this.

Why dont 1 of you buy the item then

no WE wouldnt be happy to do this cause item costs £51 quid for £55 worth of vouchers not a good deal in my opinion like i said in previous post this is not worth it but if there was a seller with good feedback asking buy now 99p with £30 quid postage id risk it

Well someone got there before me !!! I did not realise I would spark such a debate! I see it as abuse, and if it did go missing they you would be down by fifty quid.

I also report people for selling livestock through ebay, am I wrong for this as well!?!

    The way I see it:

    1) If people skip paying their fees, it'll just drive up fees for the honest sellers.
    and
    2) It's just dumb and, frankly, being mean to !!!!!! people, which isn't cool.
    3) It's just a waste of time and make things more complex than they need to be. If everyone actually quoted postage at cost on ebay it would be much better.

I actually have a problem with you referring to someone as !!!!!!. Especially if you don't know who you're talking about or to.

Item reported to eBay "circumvention of e bay fees" gets withdrawn within hours and complain about fake goods or something which does not cost eBay money and nothing gets done.

    Why am I not surprised?
