Bank Of Scotland payout times?

Received a letter dated 29th Sept saying I was going to receive a successful PPI claim on an Aqua Credit Card.

The wording of the letter says don't contact us unless you're disputing the amount. We will send a cheque in due course.

How long do we wait? Anyone any experience of payout times with this bank? Currently experiencing struggling finances so time is of the essence.

Thanks

Firstly congratulations on your success Mullington :T

I have a complaint logged with them at the moment, 8 weeks in and heard nothing yet, fully expecting them to take the full 16 weeks to come to a decision whether to uphold or not. So I can't comment on how long they take to pay up after an uphold. Only hope that they pay up in your case as quickly as possible. I don't think they are as inundated as some of the others, but they are part of LLOYDS BANKING GROUP and they are notoriously shocking at paying out :( Keep us informed please

    I have two with them:

Complaint A) Acceptance form posted to them on 9th August

Complaint B) Acceptance form posted to them on 27th August

So far I've not had a cheque for either, and when I phone they can't give any timescales.
  • wow Dr squeeze

BOS rcvd my acceptance on the 21st Oct. I accepted the way they are going to work out the redress, but have not had any actual figures yet?
Cant see me getting anything this side of christmas:(

I logged my complaint to aqua card on the 29July 2011

28th September - refunded £1559 back on to my card( even though im in a debt plan with them)
13th October - letter for the above amount in calculation and explaining i dont need to contact them or sighn anything
15th October- a chq for £1559 sent to me.

It seems halifax aqua card have stuck by the 16 weeks deadline. Im so happy didnt think I would get a cheque. Even if you are with a debt management you will always get a cheque for your ppi claim and you keep the money and it upto you whether you keep it or negotiate to settle you debt!!!!

    Hi All,

I commenced my PPI journey with Halifax for PPI on 3 CC's on the 09/05/11 and have been awaiting an accepted refunds for what will be 10 weeks this coming Friday, that's 70 days from receipt of acceptance at the Halifax, or 640 working hours for the Halifax.(64 working days) or 38,400minutes.

This whole scenario is just ridiculous! The longest credit card is 8 years so that's 8x12 calculations plus interest, I am sure that many of us forum users could calculate the correct figure within minutes-These banks are defiantly dragging their heels on these payments now-I am absolutely disgusted:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

One of the CC's is a Bank of Scotland. Part of the Lloyds group.

    £33,000 refunded!!! :j:j:j:j:j

They received my acceptance form on the 7th September.... Still nothing and when I call they cannot tell me how long it will be... Had a claim with Santander and the money was in my bank within 2 weeks of sending the complaint letter. This has been 22 weeks and STILL waiting

Does anyone know the email address of someone I can complain to?
