Ah. Well, I guess that is understandable.

At 13, does he understand hacking? If not, it might be worthwhile explaining that what he did hacked the console is the same way as cheating at a game (maybe use some of his games as examples, especially if he plays any multiplayer shooters) and explain that Microsoft have a blanket ban for this - they see what he did as just as bad as hacking these games, would stop it from happening again?

With regards to him being underage, Microsoft have covered this in their terms and conditions in the same way that Apple do - he (or you) will have either lied about his age, or accepted that as the adult you will be in charge of the contract. This was on either watchdog or panorama a while ago, as people were complaining that their children could buy things but were not old enough to have a contract.

I appreciate that he probably didn't understand the consequences but Microsoft are unlikely to budge on this - if it's likely he'll do it again, I'd just pay for a months' LIVE at a time. I think there is a code on the Grabbit board to get 3 months for £3, which seems a good deal.

    Hope this helps :o

See the difference between those two words?

    Yes he has accepted it.
    I think it's harsh.

Simple really, try reading before spouting crap.

Thats nice of you - I am sorry the facts of the matter are crap to you.

To be quite honest I play xbox and have experienced people with hacked consoles cheating - you SHOULD think the punishment is fair as you SHOULD understand legal agreements and policies.

If you don't specifically agree with ME thats your right - but the console is either his business or yours, otherwise there IS an unacceptance of the punishment going on here, like that or not I really don't mind.

You still don't get it, you're trying to say he hasn't accepted it. He has, end of.

No, he didn't think he was hacking, he just wanted to be like his mates and have an avatar that matched his team.

He signed up with his real age, so I guess there was something in there about adults taking over responsibility for the contract.

    Thanks Elle :)

They have an official liverpool FC strip on avatar marketplace. 400ms points for the full home kit.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
