What do you want her to do?
If you want the box and she cannot supply it, will you be happy with a part refund (she may not agree) or do you want to keep the item regardless? Alternatively you can return it as SNAD and will get your full original payment back, but you will have to send the item back tracked.0 -
Well I suppose a partial refund would have been the best option available, but she's only offering a gift bag. I don't think I will open a dispute as I'll prob clear a small profit. Just irritated really and posted to see if I am being unreasonable.
too many comps..not enough time!0 -
I am a great believer in that you won't know until you ask. Ask her for a partial if you want one. Outline your reasons and be clear but not whiney.
If she doesn't then you may be in a better position to evaluate the feedback from her response (by that I mean the tone rather than offer/lack of).0 -
At this point I'd be filing an item significantly not as described dispute, and asking in there for a partial for at least 50% as it's not worth nearly as much without packaging, or just asking for a full refund, and I hate not as described so much, if an item isn't as described, or even if the seller sent the wrong one, it'd be an instant neg from me!0

Okay, you may make a small profit still, but what if you'd wanted it as a gift, it would be completely unsuitable. Personally, as a matter of principle I'd return for a full refund, because i can't bear dishonesty and she has behaved dishonestly, and not honoured her side of the deal.
If you can't face the hassle this entails, I'd definately leave a neg as she has not sent you what you bought, this isn't a minor thing, it's a big deal. It was a box in this case, supposing it was ....thinking ..... a mobile phone, perfect working order, but sent without the battery to save on postage. A box may not affect the functionality, but it was sold with box and should've been sent thus.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I'd just reply saying that you bought it as a gift, so without a box, it is of no use to you, as it can't be given as a gift as it won't look new, therefore you would like partial refund of the difference of the price you paid, and the price for a second hand one.
(send a few links for some second hand sold prices on ebay completed listings)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
