  • But if you request the time off then it becomes authorised holiday. Unless they say no, then it becomes unauthorised.

Our school say 'no holidays' but they do authorise holidays, loads of people have been already - 10 days a year.

Have you actually had a letter from Social Services? It is unusual because it is not SS that deal with absence from school but the ounty Council. We get one from the CC/LEA advising that it is not best to take the kids out of school, but the school authorise the time off and both letters are given to us at the same time.

not personally, but I was told that another parent had received one - don't know the specifics!

there are some really good prices on there at the moment but make sure you book the transport yourself. If you add transport to your disney package it will often cost twice what it would if you book it seperatly. Return eurostar is usually around £69 per person if booked on the eurostar website.

Le Shuttle is £42 each way per car - good for 9 passengers! :T

You will get them for three days, so best get there as early as possible on your first day to make the most of the tickets. You can leave you bags at the hotel either checkin early if possible, or just leave them in luggage storage until the evening when you get back from first day of fun!

Thanks for that. In the past, we've booked the whole thing all together and our bags were automatically taken from the Eurostar any put into our hotel (Santa Fe).

If you book separately, do you have to manage this yourselves?

    Thanks.

Yes you would, although its only a short walk to the hotels or there is always the shuttle buses. If you book a direct eurostar (no changes) you can always phone disney and add express to your holiday but it will still be miles cheaper than if you book direct with disney. I only ever book when there is a sale on and always book transport seperatly. We are staying in the cheyenne in 2 weeks, I paid £148 for eurostar for the 2 of us, if we had added it on through disney they were going to charge us nearly £350 for the same train .
Its also worth noting that you can often get the hotel price slightly cheaper if you phone and book. When I booked a few weeks ago there was 25% discount online but I got 30% on the phone :j
