Hi,
sorrry, me again!
Just called Santander and they said as i do not have my account number, don't know how much the loan was or what the interest rate was they can't give me any information and I have to send a letter (understandable). I was just wondering if i could use the template that has been posted to do this or does it have to go by snail mail. Obviously i would include as much information as possible, i.e. dob, address, full name, etc. I just don't want to come across as not knowing what I am doing (even though i don't at the moment until i get my account info).
ThanksIf dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
I sent the standard letter via email, just with name address d-of-b on on the 11th Jan ( as DH was paid off a few years ago too) got a chq Friday for £1671 .......Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
I have just sent my email. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Thanks everyone for posting this.Debt £26k 18/10/140 -
I chased my claim yesterday (response to original claim made on 08/01/12 received on 10/01/12), received a response back this morning basically saying they are collating information and have 8 weeks in which to respond.

Hi
I had a Cahoot Flexi Loan Charges went from 6.69% to 16.6%
There were also several late payment charges of £50 each (I hope to get part of that back too)
I emailed the ceo and also the complaints website given in this forum. I was contacted the same day and told that my complaint would be given to the right department.
That was 6 weeks ago but still nothing.
I have chased them up again today.
I will let you know the outcome.0 -
...since then I have received no statements, despite phoning and writing to request them. Is this normal?
I have been trying to get statements from Santander since March 2011, have phoned and emailed numerous times and each time they promise to send me statements, but they NEVER materialise.
I would say, I have been successful in getting a substantial refund....erm 'goodwill gesture' credited to my account - but still no statements....0 -
I took out a Cahoot flexible loan in December 2004, it was cleared in July 2006. Based on what I've read so far am I right in thinking that I'd be wasting my time complaining? Or should I be filling in a complaint form regardless?0

Make a complaint anyway is my suggestion. Nothing to lose.
So far as my claim is concerned I have now received two identical letters confirming that investigations are ongoing. No time limit at all contained within the letters.
To hopefully help others the timeline for me is:
E-mail complaint 12-01
E-mail acknowledgement 13-01
Unprompted letter(s) today, 2 February0 -
Perhaps, as the thing has snowballed, they're issuing pre-emptive letters rather than having to deal with continual calls and e-mails.0

I recieved a letter today Cell...it looks exactly like the response to my first email to CEO....hoping to hear something soon. First letter sent on 6th Jan with response on 9th.[/QUOTE]
Virtually the same timetable here
Mail sent 06/01
Response 09/01
Letter dated 29/01 saying they were looking into it and would write when they had finished their investigations
Expect mine to be quite complex though as i was still dipping in and out until they finally removed the option 2 years ago and turned it into an inflexible loan. Just hope they have not changed their tune and are going to start playing hardball and whilst in the beginning they were happy to give out the cash it has now snowballed to the point where it is more difficult to do so. Hopefully worrying about nothing. Will keep you all informed, still at least 4 weeks yet so not to concerned at the moment.0
