MET Parking charge... dunno what to do

OK so on 28th September 2011 my first day of driving I went to my local supermarket and parked and they left a notice on my windscreen with the parking charge/fine.
But then after watching the Watchdog and reading all this on here am totally unsure what to do. Do I pay them?
I have pictures of the letter but cant seem to upload them, so will forward to a mod?

I can't see what your dilemma is. You have seen the Watchdog clip and you have read all the other threads and they all tell you to ignore and not pay these people. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Yeah I know but I dunno just worried that since that was all last year worried that it might be "real" if that makes sense?
And cos I am a new driver just worried0 -
Hell Lucas, welcome to the boards
No, it is not real, only tickets from the council are 'real'
Dont worry about it and ignore everything they throw at you.
Come back on here for reassurance if yu start getting jittery again, we'll hold your hand, metaphorically speaking of course.:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

OK so I have nothing to worry about... Ill try. Its hard Im naturally a very anxious person so thats why its annoyed me, plus with being anew driver and all its like your already put in the bad position kinda thing.
But yeah what to do with the letters though?0 -

Have you got a hamster? I believe they make good bedding. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Ignore it as advised and worry not being a new driver, a proper parking ticket does not effect your driving record. So a pretend one has no chance.
Just stay away from the BIB who give you nasty tickets with points on!;)0 -
OK so an update (sorry to bump an old topic).
But they are still contacting me, is this still normal?0 -
Put it on your dartboard. The only time you need to worry is if you get one from the police or the council.
Private parking comanies (PPC) have no legal rights against you.0 -

You surely know it is if you watched the Watchdog clip and checked out the letter-chains in pictures, & read other threads on the forum:

You should be just laughing at them and playing a fun game of 'PPC snap' with each letter that matches our top thread, by now! Typically, most letter-chains reported on forums seem to last between 3/6 months - almost always less than a year - but sometimes they desperately re-issue a letter randomly 2 years later. So what? It's just costing the scumbags more money in postage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
