Not bad for my first try I think!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
Debt at Highest: £43,073 :eek:0 -
Got some very nice xmas cards from BHS for free with the o2 priority moments code. They were meant to be £3.50 which I would never pay for xmas cards but they are so nice I'm going to use them instead of buying the usual 'mum', 'brother' 'grandparents' etc cards so am adding the £3.50 on to savings as I would usually spend more than this on the family cards.
Yay for free stuff!0 -
Thanks for that teacosy, I'd clicked on the link and seen insertion fee's etc but didn't notice the 'free insertion fee' bit
doh. Will put my glasses on now of course... Thanks hun
So mucho very excited, ordered myself a kurt geiger purse and some earrings, both of which I did actually need- had no every day earrings for a few months now since my old trusty ones broke and I feel a bit bare without them :O I'm excited cos I never get anything for myself.. always kids and DH that come first so my clothes etc all tend to be from carboots/my mums stuff that she's used and fell out with etc, lucky for me she's quite hip and her stuff is up to date or I'd be proper screwed!
No money saving for me apart from this, oh and got all my Christmas pressies bar 2 sorted, boosh!

Well done everyone today
My update from yesterday...- £3.61 rec in bank acct from Money4myMobile :j
- 45p from Onepoll. Only a couple more surveys and I can finally cash out!
Today...- I have received a rather unexpected cheque from Halifax regarding a complaint I sent them (ONLY YESTERDAY!) whinging about the fact I opened an account with them 8 years ago, and although I gave them a tenner to open it, I never fully opened it and wanted my tenner back. They apologised (for what I am unsure!) and gave me £25 :T
- £5-ish savings on xmas cards as bogof
- Also another 20p on onepoll
(I am also a happy bunny this evening as I have just completed my xmas shopping! I'm sure I have saved a fortune as I have been buying things from Avon reps clearance section (I am a rep) but as I didnt budget a certain amount for xmas, I havent 'technically 'saved' anything, but still!
I am also making/baking/knitting a lot of peoples presents, its all awful, but its the thought that counts- I'm sure the snobby in-laws-to-be wont see it that way tho:rotfl:)
Evening all xx0 -

[QUOTE=lolly101;48384267
On another note, DS1 has been chatting online to his friends through the school website... so much so, that he's asked me to buy him a notebook for Xmas!!! Oh dear. To be honest, if he carries on, I may even consider it (a cheapy off eBay of course!) as I've had to put my work on hold while he goes on it - which I can't really afford to do at the moment!
I do think he may be a bit young though (he's only 7!!!). Is that too young do you think?[/QUOTE]
DS has toy laptops, educational ones that he can play games on and teach him counting, alphabet games, etc.
He is 4yesterday and plays on my laptop sometimes but I restrict his usage. He is allowed 1 hour of cbeebies if he has been good. He plays the games on this site. But then I can supervise him and he isn't allowed to go to any other site.
Me personally think 7 is to young for a netbook. He should keep sharing Mummy's laptop for a few more years. He will need a comp when he is at high school to help with homework. But am sure he can wait 5 more years.0
