LOl..... the thread was featured in this weekly newsletter....
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips/05-10-2011/
not sure you would find it though.. it is near the bottom!
We're famous!!!Can't believe I missed it, I always read the whole email each week!
And also only if you were actually planning on buying it in the first place. I used to buy things thinking I was getting a great deal by using a coupon/discount code/etc, but I then realised that I wouldn't have bought them otherwise, so I was just spending money rather than saving it!laidbackgjr wrote: »It's interesting reading everyone's different ways of saving and what they are including in their totals. I'm being quite strict and only counting extra earnings or saving vouchers I wouldn't have found without the inspiration of this thread / board. So not including my regular clubcard points etc.
Well done! :T It does make the challenge a lot harder as you have to put more effort in, but it's worth it as you gain more from itI do add my clubcard/advantage card/nectar points though - as Nat said, it's like cashback as you earn them from spending money (and money that you would have spent anyway!).

so do I! I can't believe I missed it either! I asked MSE Andrea and Martin if we could get a mention last month because it was the 4 year birthday anniversary. MSE Andrea said we had been mentioned, and only through really checking did I find it! What I wanted was it to be acknowledged that over the 4 years, so much money had been made/saved through the challenge started by Batgirl and how it had helped so many people.
Will try again in a few months time, and ask specifically if that can be highlighted.0 -
Seems that I have lots to learn - another question what do you mean by a MS/Audit job?
MS = Mystery Shopping - quite a few of us do it and there are 2 whole threads dedicated to it on MSE, but you aren't allowed by contract to talk about the jobs you do or who you work for.0 -
I have saved £6.46 on shopping, 36p on a stamp - i had to drive past the business on work with my milege being paid and a total of 43p found. Thats a total of £7.25.0

Is there any way to find the ipolls, or do they just appear on your front page?
