I have decided to save all my money in an envelope for the next 2 months so i can hit the sales in January and start next years Xmas shopping early. Is that rather naughty of me ?Should i put it towards my overdraft ? Just thought that my saved money could save me more money if you get my logic ! What do you think ? Good idea or bad idea ?
... GREAT IDEA!!! :j That's what I'm doing! I've just about sorted Xmas now (only food left to buy!) so any extra money is going towards the sales. I'm hoping to have at least £500 as not only do I want to get most of next year's gifts, but I'm going to be redecorating so want to try and get a few bits for the house as well... and clothes and shoes, lol!
It really is a good idea to try and get as much as you can in the sales, especially when they get to 75% off, as you would really struggle to find gifts that cheap later in the year.0 -

Gad you lot don't 'alf rabbit :rotfl: 2 days away and over 12 pages to catch up on :eek:And as I'm still up, just had a look at online banking for today (or tomorrow really as I've not been to bed yet!!) and I've had £10 in from a MS job.

Has anyone printed out their double up Clubcard vouchers? If so, do you have to print straight from the webpage or can you save them to your PC?
My printer is a bit dodgy at the mo and will only work if I email things to it, so I don't want to commit to printing them if I'm not able to.0 -
MS = Mystery Shopping - quite a few of us do it and there are 2 whole threads dedicated to it on MSE, but you aren't allowed by contract to talk about the jobs you do or who you work for.
Hey Vixen, anything highlighted in blue bold is a link to a site/mse page
so I gave you the link to the Mystery Shopping thread before.
will give you links to lotto and swagbucks later.0 -
Well..........I am very relieved to have made it to Friday!! Hectic couple of days in work - half the staff are off (long term sick and mat leave) leaving 2 of us with 5 peoples work for the next few months. Same old, same old hey!!
So, another 3.00 saved from lunch and transferred into another account, so I have reached the dizzying heights of 6.50 towards my total!!!! I am being very strict with myself though and intend to count money from Ebay, surveys, cashback and MOC's. I do a little ebay stuff on the side and am registered as a business user and I am not even letting myself count the profits from that!! Its nothing huge, just 15 or so items listed that I buy to sell on for profit. It ticks over and makes a bot of extra money each month. As I was doing that anyway I am not counting the business stock side of Ebay. I am using my other account to list used items that are due to finish this weekend so hoping for an income boost!!
Right.....off to put the kids in bed and crack open a bottle of wine me thinks!! Have a good evening everyone.0 -

I'm thinking of joining Max*m*iles and sw*gbucks. Does anyone know if you can get cashback for joining either of these??
Thanks
sorry no, but you could join them through someone's referral and then refer someone else yourself to gain points.0 -

I do this every year but it usually gets paid for with money from the overdraft,so I am determind to pay for it with saved cash in January1% at a time member #112 2% paid0 -
Wow I can't believe how fast this thread is moving. Everyone seems to be doing well and so enthusiastic. I am still trying to do 10 positive things a day that Fairy started and had a really good day today. Ordered £10 voucher on M*ximiles, £20 paypal from M* S*rvey and only £1.75 away from cash out on Y*u G*v.
Saved £9 at MrT's using coupons. Its going to be harder saving at MrTs now as they no longer accept Competitors conditional spend vouchers. I think I will shop at Morries, Aldis & Sainsbobs when I get those coupons now as we have had our points halved too.
Have a great weekend everyone.
