I have got a copy of the appeal if this is turned down is that the end of it or can i make a further appeal or make a complaint. I don't have any bad things on my credit file just a lack of credit.

If you hadn't appealed before then appealing the student overdraft really shouldn't be a big issue. If you've credited the £500 and you asked her to mention this in the appeals form, then I'd be very surprised if this was declined. If you don't get anywhere after the appeal, then all I can do is suggest you take it to the complaints team.

thanks irishgypsy, it was one of the smaller branches in the town. The lady was very nice and explained as much as she could about the process.

Yes i have a copy of the appeal form and she did put i'd deposited the 500 pounds and wanted the overdraft. I also got a secure message earlier this week saying i should be entitled to the overdraft now i had the 500 pounds in the account and i should go in branch to appeal.

Yes i think i will go through the complaints department if the appeal fails i think the staff are lovely very polite i just think think the process needs improving.

I phoned today the appeal went in friday but still no decision she wasn't very confident and she said i would get a letter eventually. The conflicting messages i'm getting from santander is very annoying in one message they say i am entitled the next its a no.

another update: i checked my account today hadn't checked it since monday and the overdraft appeal has been successful.

Thanks guys especially to irishgypsy i doubt i would have appealed without your posts.

Glad to hear that it's been successful (like I thought it should be ). Just remember to keep paying your loans/grants in and you shouldn't have any issues in the future. (Hopefully! ).

oh this will be my main bank account now so it will get everything from loan/grants and my salary. from a happy santander customer !
