Hi
I have just had Virgin media broadband installed and when the box arrived the wifi router it came with a pre installed security password. this allows me to connect to the intranet. now in the pack it explains the process on how you can change the set password on line. so i went in the allocated website & i have found out that an error message says its not a safe website. Is there any solution to this or are you stuck with the provided password. Virgin media customer service is so bad. You just sit on hold for over 20 mins with no answer and being charge 10p a minute for the pleasure.
thanks

Firstly you won't be connected to the intranet, but the Internet, two different things.
To change the Wi-Fi password you need to log into the router not an Internet website.
Your on-line BB password has nothing to do with your Wi-Fi password.
And this has nothing to do with Digital TV, so you have posted in the wrong forum.0 -
Very helpful advice posted already! lol
Firstly make sure your connected to the router (wired or wireless) i.e you can get online.
Type in 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, this gives you access to the router settings.
My router is a virgin media super hub, if yours is the same, the user name is "admin" and the password is "changeme" if its not the super hub you need to find the user name and password.
Then click wireless settings and you can change your wifi name (SSID) and password and save.
Hope that helps0
