I know what you mean jabdc5. I used to have a business account a few years ago. Wouldn't it be nice if they could give business sellers a bit of a reduction now and again.

I have to agree every other week is annoying, the line I sell does get affected by this. My sales can drop by about 25% due to this. It will be every other week now until Christmas I imagine.

Because Ebay was never intended to be used by those who want to run businesses. It was for ordinary people to sell and buy things.

For us ordinary folk, these weekends are great.

I have no sympathy for the unpleasant sellers who resent these free listing weekends where ordinary people are competing against them. Don't forget the business sellers are also benefitting from free listings too, but if they are so resentful of other people being able to do the same then they deserve nothing but scorn.

As a business seller I must say that in the area I sell it doesn't really affect me too much however I don't understand the below comment:

The free listing isn't any benefit to business sellers as we don't get any reductions on our listing or FVF's.

I also sell my household stuff - kids clothes, etc on a 2nd account so I don't mind the odd free listing weekend as it helps me declutter the house! I do, however, think that every other weekend is getting a bit ridiculous and they should stick to once a month at the most.

I agree, every other weekend is a bit much, but I get so many bargains as a buyer to list on my business account that I'm torn! I think every 3 weeks would be better for everyone, speaking as both a personal and business account holder. I avoid listing on my personal account on FLW as I tend to find i get less for my items.

Sensible for them to nominate one weekend ....say the 1st each month. That way everyone would be prepared and they wouldn't need to do it as often.

I'm a private seller and having them every 2 weeks at 100 items is worse for me.I was listing around 300 items on a free listing weekend.
It takes 3 free listing weekends to list everything since ebay made the changes.One free weekend per month with unlimited listings was better for me.
