Does anyone know if Leeds are doing this? I have to go before Christmas so I might as well have a sort out and find some books to take with me as well. Every little helps, as a certain supermarket says.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

Just to clarify, Croydon is KIDS' books - it was any books last yearYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0

Last year in Croydon, I got about 7 vouchers - took 5 books each days (as Ikea was on the way home from work), but put a mixture of my maiden name one day and married name the next on the sheet, but always at my own address. All you needed to do was sign for the voucher and add your address, that was it and you were given a £5 voucher. Every day I went there was someone else taking the books in, so never saw the same person twice, so no risk of being recognised. I then used the £35 (7 vouchers) against a new futon matress, so you were able to use multiple vouchers in one transaction. I will be doing the same this year, and hopefully will be able to get more than one voucher.
Could take the kids, (12 and 8) to hand in books, but not sure if children are able to claim the voucher. Does anyone know if there is an minium age to donate the books and get a voucher?2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
phew reading this just in time. i'd sorted various items for donations today so i will pick out all the books i was going to give away. and take them to ikea instead

Took my books in today along with daughter.
But could only exchange 5 as the new T&Cs are.
1 voucher per household
Also only 1 voucher can be used per customer and per transaction.Cannot be used in conjunction with any offer discount promotion, voucher etc.
Cannot be used in restaurant, food market, home delivery etc.
Valid for use between 28/11/11 - 23/12/11
So nowhere near the good deal of last time.I was the only one there doing this today, last time I was in a queue!!
The voucher is in a book like a cheque book. You fill in your name and address on the counterfoil and have to sign for it. They then tear the voucher from the book.0 -
I did this today and then spent it straight away. There were a couple of others doing the same. I filled by details on a separate list and she gave me a voucher. Simples.Smiles are contagious

On Monday in Thurrock I was asked for my surname (maiden) and postcode, that's all. Husband behind in the 'queue' gave his surname and an old postcode. We went around together but he paid a few items on the self service and used his voucher.
No trouble at all. Don't think the staff are that bothered if you get more than one, as long as its not obvious (so they don't get into trouble)I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0 -
Hi guys,
Has anyone been to the Ikea Croydon store with adult books this time around? I only ask as it says expressly that they want kids books, but last time there was a clause that said if you didn't have kids books, adults were fine. The clause seems to have gone, so just wanted to know about experiences in store before I gather my books up. Thanks.0 -

It would seem different with who you get then. I was asked to put my name address and signature at Thurrock yesterday.
If you are going to get more than one I would not use your family card when you pay!0 -

At Thurrock yesterday they did not even look at the books, I was told to just put them in the container.0
