It says that the participating stores are Wembley, Lakeside, Tottenham- Edmonton and Croydon. Im really happy since Tottenham is just down the road. :-)

Oh, that's interesting. I emailed Croyden branch on Friday to ask if they were running this promotion and just had this response from them:

Thank you for your email. At this moment in time the promotion is only on in IKEA Lakeside and we do not have any information at this time as to whether this will be promoted in IKEA Croydon. If this promotion does come on it will appear on the IKEA Croydon website.

Really hoping that it is running in Croydon, as I managed to get 7 vouchers last time the offer was on.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Oh, would love this to be on at my nearest (still quite a trek) as it would be a good incentive for me to thin out my bookcases.
I took boxes and boxes to the car boot a couple of years back, and sold about 2 books - so gave the rest away on Freecycle and to local charity shops - but often they will not accept them as people don't seem to buy books, so they just get swamped.

Re library books, when libraries sell old stock they usually stamp over first and last few pages with a stamp saying "withdrawn from stock", so it should be easy to tell if it has been taken or bought from the library.
Sad that people could stoop to stealing them though - for 50p they could probably buy a bag full at the local charity shop of some really old 'random' books.
  • I just clear out lots books took to charity shop :(

    ;)))
  • Was having a wee look on the Edinburgh Ikea page and couldn't see anything about the books but it looks like they've got a "Bring Back Furniture" service so you can take back your old Ikea furniture and you receive a reward voucher to spend instore, bit harder to fit into the car than a couple of books though!!

What a fab idea. Going to pass this information on to the pfa as it's right after our Christmnas bazaar!

Snap. just what I was thinking!
Our PTFA have just had a bring a book to school day, and had a book stall after school, however lots of books didnt sell, im lookig at four banana boxes full in my livingroom at this moment, pity theres a limit to one voucher per person:(

That would buy lots of kids toys and things for the raffle and other prizes!

Not even sure if its on at the Notts store anyway, will have to check on their we page!

How do they know you have had one, does it have to be linked to your 'family' card?

Last time I got vouchers for this promotion there was a list on A4 paper when you handed over your books and all it asked was for your name and address and signature. I got a card for my 7 visits - I went once a day on the way to work, as I had to drive past Ikea - and each time I went I either signed my maiden name or married name, but kept the same address. I was never stopped for doing this and there was no comeback on me.

Maybe you could put the school address but different names?

Thanks op. can you swap as many as you like or is there a max?
    Thanks

Edit: just noticed it says minimum of 5 books. So I'm guessing you may need a few 'friends' to take them in for you separately!!
I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!

Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A

Thats really odd then as in the post below yours someone said Croydon weren't doing it :(

I'm confused now as wish they were on the ball as there is nothing about it on the Croydon website and yet T&C's clearly state the offer will be on in Croydon

I'm still hoping it is but frustrating when Ikea themselves say ''no''!!!
