Gutted!
I've exchanged my vouchers as I have before and gawd knows how but have managed to get instore not online vouchers. Tescos say they can't change them for evouchers to use online and my three closest stores have hardly no toys (all off the shelves and you are directed to tesco .com instead). I don't drive either. That was all my toy shopping for the kids. How on earth did I manage to c0ck that up so badly

I did the same thing this morning. I phoned the clubcard helpline to ask if they could cancel the order or convert to online vouchers. They said they could not but that I could use the instore vouchers at Tesco Direct points in stores (the order and collect areas) I took my vouchers into store. The Tesco direct section were unable to scan the Exchange vouchers or get their system to accept the code when typed in. I asked the manager to contact the clubcard helpline and they told him he should accept them so they did (not sure how they did it technically but they did)
Hope that helps0 -
Had me eye on this Hoover vacuum cleaner http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.212-0332.aspx for a few days now; just been waiting to see whether vacuum cleaners were part of the double voucher scheme, which was confirmed yesterday. On sale in my local Tescos for £89-00.
Went to my local Tesco store this morning, grabbed the cleaner and waited at Tesco's Direct desk just before 0800hrs to double up my vouchers & pay for the cleaner. Waited for 5 mins but no sales assistant turned up so I made a polite complaint. Eventually she turned up at approximately 0810hrs.
She and several of her colleagues then spent the next 45mins trying to get the double voucher to process correctly without any success. They rung several people instore, contacted Clubcard help centre, spoke to other local stores to see if they were processing okay, attempted printing my vouchers via their clubcard website, etc.
To be fair, I was sitting down for the last 20mins whilst they tried to resolve the problem.
Evetually one of the Store Assistants came over to to advise that 'their Dundee store had advised that the clubcard double up deal does not start until 1030hrs' but she was willing to offer me a £40 discount for the cleaner; so in effect my £40 double up deal would still be taking effect. I accepted this offer and I used an additional £9 tesco clubcard vouchers to pay for the remaining balance. So effectively the vacuum cleaner was free !!
I advised her that I would be complaining to the Tesco CEO via email. She then took a note of my name and address.
Overall the staff were brilliant. They were continually apologising and trying their best to help me. IMHO the problem was with the clubcard IT system, the clubcard help desk and the lack of promotion/advertising given to both customers & staff.
With luck I will be offered some money coupon as a goodwill gesture after I complain to the CEO.
Trouble is that I missed my golf teetime this morning due to the above but I did join them on the 10th.
Really pleased though as I have got a free hoover; espcially as our current one is on it's last legs.:):):money:0 -
Could someone please tell me what these Skylanders are please, seems to be an awful lot of buzz around them?0

I'm happy to admit I may be being a bit thick here, but I don't understand how it was free?
Hoover cost £89.99
Discount of £40 leaves £49.99 to pay.
Used £9 of Tesco vouchers leaves £40 to pay.

Thank you. I asked about that and was told categorically it was a no go (2 different people said that in cust services, and one instore). I don't think it's consistent across the board but I'm tempted. Although I won't get as good a deal via the catalogue as I would online (missing the reductions) it's still better than trawling around for gifts in understocked stores. Thanks.MSE-ing since 20070 -

I was looking to double up £40 of vouchers to £80. Hope this clarifies.:)
By the way the hoover only cost £89.0 -

Lol, apologies for making it 99p dearer.
So the hoover was £89, you used £40 of vouchers plus another £9 of vouchers. Get it now, when you mentioned the £9 of vouchers, I then wrongly assumed the rest was paid in cash.
Just ignore me, I'm tired. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

No probs. Probably my fault for not making my OP clearer.:beer:0 -
Do we have a definitive answer on the Skylander starter pack yet at all? I've asked on facebook and didn't get a response from tesco just conflicting opinions from others,lol!0
