    you may have to manually remove ALL the queued docs from the print queue before uninstalling/re-installing. The print queue is a windows function, and all the time the printer isn't working and you're pressing the print button for a doc, it'll be adding to the print queue. Purge it before continuing...

    Hi, Thanks again. I do that, I ask it to clear ALL docs, BUT, there is always 1 remains pending, the one that has already attempted to print. That,s the one that prints on reboot.If I ask to print a doc, and it tries ,but fails, the heads keep continuously try to print, but fails to complete. If I then add several more, I then cancel ALL docs pending, the first will always remain until reboot, and it spews it out on reboot.Probably because the process has started.???
    Sometimes I have to shut pc down using on/off button because the program to print is stopping shut down normally.Then on reboot, I get , black/white screen, ask to start normally,due to shut down by button, and it reboots and prints the first pending doc.
    This is what I have to do if I want several docs, reboot each one. don,t form a queue. It,s a Pain. Are all spoolers etc on and part of windows??
    Nothing in printer to stop printing???.
    Taking it back to factory settings didn,t solve the problem, just had more trying to re- instal printer, hence Lexmark;;My concern is if I buy a new printer, and problem is pc related, I am stuck with 2 printers,I doubt they would refund. Sorry about the saga, it,s complicated. Thanks again.

    Hi TakeThis, I don,t know yet, I have not tried to instal it yet.
    I am clarifying everything before I try it. I don,t want to upset my Daughters pc. I have just restored my pc back to the day Lexmark took remote control, and gave me several more problems ,other than the printer, which they said they had remedied, but hadn,t. The main added problem, besides the others, was , I lost the ability to scroll using my touchpad. Now I have everything back, including my scroll on touchpad , so she really caused me more aggro than before.She deleted most of the icons on my notification tray,on start up,plus other progams wouldn,t run. The printer problem i have yet to try and solve;
    This I will report back to you as soon as I have tied installing my software on my daughters pc. I will be very wary of letting my pc to be used remotely again,luckily , I set a restore point before giving her control. Thanks again.
