Lloyds TSB Vantage accounts

We used to be limited to 3 X £7000.

Are we now limited to 3 X £5000?
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

    Yes.
Balances above £5000 earn no interest.

I believe I misunderstood these accounts...if you have £5000 in there at all times and transfer £1000 in and out each month, you get 3% AER on the full £5000?

If so, methinks I will take advantage of their incessant "would you like a second current account?" request.

Yes you can have 3 of them, so £15K between the 3 of them. And cycle £1,000 between them every month

Just applied for one, should appear in Online Banking tomorrow. :)

No point getting more than one, this is just to replace my 2.8% instant-transfer account and I'm getting more than 3% elsewhere on my longer-term savings.
  • Just remember its 3% on only 2k out of the 5K inversted in each account.... Still better than some though!

    No it isn't

It's 3% on the whole £5000, as long as you deposit at least £1000 per month.
  • Their Incentive Saver account paid 3% without the jumping through hoops up to £50K but don't think it's still available.
  • Sorry yes ,just re read the small print ...It's 3% on the whole £5000

I hadn't thought of this to be honest with you. So I suppose you could hold three lloyds vantage and three bos vantage accounts, thus getting 3% on up to £30,000 ?

Can you hold a bos vantage if you already a bos reward account ?
