Parking Eye PCN Final warning
Comments
-
IIRC the DVLA has previously stated that they do not record telephone numbers on their registered keepers files and do not supply them. However, most DCA's will buy access to numerous databases besides the standard Equifax et al and with the huge market in information obtained online - free offers, vouchers, questionnaires, brochures, etc etc your mobile number could have been obtained from quite an array of entirely legitimate sources. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I'm quite jealous of the OP.
I never got phone calls or anything from GW after ignoring the final notice from Parking Eye. They pretty much gave up trying to contact me.0 -
Its all part of the scam, just engage the spotty teenager on the phone in some "embarrassing" conversation, they soon put the phone down...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

If thats the case with DVLA not selling info i guess your right it could have come from another source,
although I'm pretty good with my mobile number?!
I have had p & q for 2 days now so maybe they've taken the hint???
Watch this space I'll keep you informed0 -
Any idea as to how long this will go on for???
Over stayed in car park 17/03/2011 and still get letters, calls & texts!!!0 -
The letter-chain is easy to ignore and predict - it is as shown in the top thread.
The phone calls and texts - you have to just answer a phone call and say the right thing to make them knock it on the head. Say this:
'Yes, that's me. Now listen carefully. The alleged debt is DENIED. I insist that you now return the file to the originating company or risk being reported to the Office of Fair Trading and the DVLA, BPA, and Trading Standards for your continued harassment.'
'I am aware that Roxburghe are already on notice from the OfT that they are 'minded to revoke' your consumer credit licence this year. So as you are already breaking OfT debt collection guidelines, I expect to here no more from you nor from your alter-ego 'Graham White Solicitors'. Take note that the debt is denied.'
Phone down.
If they ask any Q's just talk over them. No discussion. Phone down.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Handy off-topic hint:
Unless there's a genuine reason to provide your phone number (landline or mobile) on a web site, then don't give it. Are they really going to need to call you in most cases? Probably not, so why are they asking? If it is a "mandatory" field, then make one up. That's where this site comes in handy, you can make up a number, knowing it'll never actually go to a real phone line.0 -
