If you have a look in the department stores now amongst their Christmas gifts, you may find something suitable. I bought my DH a large lunch-bag one xmas, it had a radio on it. Can't remember where I got it but it will have been Boots, BHS or somewhere like Halfords.

    Good evening,

My OH takes his lunch box and fruit etc in a carrier bag but I'm looking for an alternative that looks a little nicer. I was thinking something along the lines of this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dotcomgiftshop-Woodland-Charlotte-Bag/dp/B001BGP5DE/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_img_in

The only problem is the design is a bit girly him!

I'm not sure if this one would be big enough as it needs to fit 1 or 2 takeaway sized boxes, fruit and a biscuit. Does anyone know of anything that fits the bill? Maybe a patterned tote that may appeal to a 25 year old male?

    Thanks for any suggestions! :)

EDIT: Some people seem to be missing the point that the above links aren't a suitable pattern, hence why I'm posted here. I'm just after something of a similar shape, preferably not in plain blue or black!
    A bit girly?????? :rotfl:

How about a plain old Tupperware type box? They come in loads of different colours; blue, green, purlple... pink.
  • I use something that's the same size as this . I can fit in two plastic boxes like you get from the takeaway, yoghurt, crisps, chocolate etc. And it's insulated to help keep things cold.

Thats a brill idea meritaten, I must admit I did laugh at the little car one by OP but some young adult men might actually like that as it is 'fun'

  • I like the top one, but I am female. :rotfl:

Just use a carrier bag, who cares what it looks like. If you want it to look nice, use a Marks and Spencer carrier bag instead of an Asda one.
  • How about a nice pilot case Plenty of room for lunchboxes, flask, IPAD, library book, cuddly toy, etc.

OP - your post has put a massive smile on my face!! Loving the way you described that first bag as a bit too girly.

Only this morning I was rumaging round for a carrier bag for DH to take his lunch to work. Couldn't find one, all I could find was my little pink fold up bag which folds into itself and lives inside my handbag (for shopping emergencies). He just looked at me with a very questionable look on his face....quite rightly!!

Glad you posted on here, I will certainly be looking through the various links to get some bag inspiration. Perhaps not the one costing circa £1K though!

Does your OH even want a proper bag to carry his lunch in? You could just be wasting your money.

Agreed, I would consult the OH on this if you haven't already, OP. No offence, but if I got a 'patterned tote' for my husband to take his lunch in he'd just look at me like I was nuts and put it in a carrier bag as usual.
