Oval conduit wouldn't necessarily make any future changes easier because it is only really effective on totally flat walls, also if a bit of render gets into the conduit, it makes the cable extremely hard to remove.
And also you'd end up paying more in labour costs, coz it takes longer to feed the cables down the conduit,especially a 2.5 ring main or 10mm T+E.0
