no joy with yell, it's a data protection issue apparently, although it didn't sound like they had the information anyway.

I've tried looking up the land registry for the property, and unfortunately they own it so there's no landlord to go to. There is a mortgage lender, but I suspect even if I manage to speak to someone in the know it will be another data protection thing.

What about the landlord of the shop?

Unless I've missed something, the person he's looking for is the Owner of the shop - there isn't a landlord.

You're speculating. You may be right, but you don't know for a fact. ;)
  • Have you tried looking for him on facebook?

They own the business, but it is unlikely they own the freehold for the premises.

I looked up the land registry and the property is registered to Enid Jean Powell, the mother. The address given is the property itself so no joy there.

And he doesn't strike me as a facebook kind of person. The only Andrew Powells I can find in Bristol I'm pretty sure aren't him.

If the mother owns the freehold for the shop, then presumably she is the landlord of the flats above. The tenants there should have some way of contacting her.

alas, the space upstairs is used as storage for the shop, not flats.
  • From looking at google, it looks like he is insolvent.

You need to contact the insolvency company in order to get your bike back.

It's a different Andrew Powell. The company isn't listed as insolvent
