Vodafone KRZR K1 MMS PROBLEM - PLEASE HELP!
Hi,
I am not sure if this is the correct place but oh well.
I bought a krzr k1 phone a few months back on contract from vodafone but have not been able to send pics to others and only receive them on live studio online. I have gone online to set mms settings and they send you a message to phone and typed in pin number and said it was successful but i still cant send them. It now comes up with error: unallowed: not provisioned yet - what does that mean? can anyone help?
thanks

hi blonde23,
It sounds like, although the phone itself has had the correct settings sent out and installed, your SIM card isn't set up for MMS (picture messaging) at network level. For a phone to use MMS it needs the following:
Handset: correct network settings installed (as it appears you've already done)
SIM Card: provisioned for both GPRS (internet) and MMS (picture messaging) (both of these need to be provisioned as MMS uses GPRS over the network to send MMS - there's no need for Vodafone to send you out a new SIM card either, it's something that is provisioned on the network on a computer system)
I work for Vodafone so if you'd like then one of our online team can check your SIM card for you to make sure it's set up correctly. To do this securely, if you go to https://www.vodafone.co.uk, select 'contact us' then 'email'. If you leave the short-code FIT135 in the body of your email this code routes you through to a team who monitor internet message-board feedback. Fill in the relevant security fields including synopsis of the problem (you may also like to leave a link to this thread if you wish), then one of our email team will be able to look into this for you.0 -
Go into the gprs settings on your mobile and make sure Vodafone is the one thats ticked.I did the same thing as you where the send you a free text and its already set up,but i still couldnt send a pic message, until i went into the settings on the mobile and ticked the vodafone one .0
