Launcher Pro is just that, a launcher. Rooting is good, if it's available for your device. It allows more control over the device (overclocking, etc)

What do you want to watch? For the like of iplayer, 4od, etc you can just watch them using the Android (or your devices) browser. There are some similar apps. For movies that you might have copied or download, RockPlayerBase is good. There are some free ones too.

Ooh are you indeed :D thank you. Ive got a commtiva n700 tablet. Ive got skype on it and the text part works but i can t see any mention of video when i go into settings yet my friend who has an htc desire has. There are 2 camera s front and back. If you could tell me how to get that working that would be great and the same on msn please. Also i d like to watch iplayer etc but dont know or what to use for it to work as the adobe one doesn t is the message i get.

The Skype website lists devices that are supported but also says that - quote

    * This specifically does not include some tablets that use the Tegra 2 chipset (e.g. Android tablets and Motorola Atrix do not support video calling).

    Details are on

Oh i see lol and what would work then and do i just download it ? Thanks

After a little googling it appears you have an Arm11 processor which is not compatible with flash (required for iplayer)

A hacked version is available (see below in the first post). Bear in mind though this is not from an official source, so you will have to weigh up the risks of installing it.
