Who is my supplier?
I was with E-ON supplying my electric, and they had this notion that I wanted to leave them. I never. So, now, I don't know who is supplying my electric. E-On said that they are not. Scottish Power was my old supplier, but I am currently using E-ON key card for the electric.
E-ON have said that they are not supllying me with electric, but some other provider is. I signed no contract with anyother provider, nor did I ever tell E-ON that I was leaving them. I can't be with Scottish Power because they came out to me asking me to come back to them.
Confused. Moreover is this legal?

Hi Martynb_,
Contact E.ON and ask them to check who has taken over the supply.
If you were with E.ON and didn't request a change of supplier, then it sounds like your supply has been taken over by another supplier in error.
This is called an erroneous transfer (ET). This happens when a supplier has been given or uses incorrect info to take a supply on.
If an ET has taken place then you should be able to go back to your supplier as if you never left.
As you are still using the E.ON key, then all of your payments will be coming to us.
If you need any more info, just let me know.

E-ON don't know who the supplier is. E-ON did mention ET though. I am currently using the E-On keycard.0 -

If only that was true, at least in the case of Southern Electric is it not. I realise you represent another supplier.
I recently went through this due to an idiot quoting my address instead of his own new address, not quoting any meter serial number and a meter reading which could not match the consumption on my meter. Took over two months numerous letters and phone calls by me to sort it out and now I have a new account number, so in this case this did not return to as before.

Hiya,
I would contact us and ask to speak to the erroneous transfer team, they should be able to check a data base to see who has taken over the supply.
I would have your meter serial number to hand as well.
Hope you get this sorted but come back to me if you need to.

I've been having problems with them since signing-up. I've never known a more incompetent service. They don't seem to value their customers very well. I'm no longer with E-ON according to their records. I cannot for the life of me understand what they are up to.0 -

Hi Martynb_,
I'm sorry that you have had a poor service from us, I know this can be very frustrating.
But if this is an ET and your supply has been taken in error, this won't be E.ON's error as we don't give the supply away this has to be requested.
Someone somewhere has requested to change supplier and your details whether this be the address, meter serial number etc; has got mixed up with theirs, so your supply has left us in error.
I don't know why the agent you spoke to didn't check the data base to see where your supply had gone and this is why I have suggested you speak to the ET department as they are specialists in this area, or you can even email me and I will do my very best to help you.
If you can also have your meter serial number to hand this would help.
I really hope you can get this sorted asap.

No disrespect to you or anything, but I'm at a critical point in my life, and everything is not going smoothly for me. This, tgether with the price increases, has made me angry. Perhaps you can help me. What do I need to do?
