Hi everyone,
My partner and I have been away on holiday for a few years in a row now, to the usual holiday/lively/party places. We now want to move away from this scene and go somewhere more 'luxurious' and 'upmarket', without being too expensive, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thankyou for any help!
Forgot to add that if anyone knows any good companies that do 10 night packages that would be fantastic!

A few years in a row, i.e. sick of the same old thing every year?:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0

Cape Verde perhaps? Only around a 6 hour flight, off the coast of West Africa I'm pretty sure. Thomson feature it for this year, also a few of the specialists such as Holiday Options & Cape Verde Experience. Best to look at Thomson though, you'll probably get a better deal with them than the others.

Where would be the best place to go scuba diving? We like going on activity days and did one in Tenerife, although I don't think the sea there is the best 'sights' for scuba diving!
Thanks Lottee, will have a look into that - although Thomson prices will probably be out of my league!!:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -
Diving, the list is pretty long TBH, depends on your budget. Anywhere from Egypt to the Maldives to Australia! (& also Cape Verde I believe)
You will be surprised at the Thomson prices, there was a £100 discount code knocking around a week or so ago on here.
Thought about Cyprus ?

If you're looking to relax and chill out I'd definitely recommend the Maldives. When there on my honeymoon and it was paradise. You can get some reasonable deals there now too, particularly if you book last minute.0

Thanks for that everyone, hlhassall, Maldives sound gorgeous, although perhaps a bit out of our league! You have any websites to suggest to book through? How last minute would you need to go with this, as booking time off work etc has to be thought about?
I suppose we won't get away with the £250ish mark anymore for 7 nights so will have to up the savings a bit!!:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -
Try this perhaps

(Stavanger,Norway is cheaper than Oslo & Bergen)

If you're considering a diving holiday in the Maldives you might want to have a look at the website I run for a mate who is an underwater photographer for a number of Diving magazines. Here's the link to a selection of his images from a trip in 2005 when he was asked by the Maldives government to write a feature on how the area had recovered from the Tsunami. It should give you an idea as to what kind of marine life you can expect. Mike found it a wonderful place to dive and was amazed how quickly it had recovered.0
