Small spend in Mr S on paras, cold sore cream and salad cream this morning. Trying to kill off this cold as I don't get paid when I am off sick:( At least I am not spending money on teas and food in the staff canteen though:rotfl:£4.92 added to the total.
I also need to get better soon to stop DH eating so much meat in one sitting. Last night he made himself a lamb curry using 2 lamb steaks! He followed the recipe on the back of the curry paste jar but it's meant to serve 4 and he ate the lot:eek: Some nice cheap veggie meals coming up when I am well I think;)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

I've spent 59.52 at supermarket and then another 15.05 taking kids to cafe for tea as we don't do halloween. So total spend of 74.57 already. Need a few bits for dd1 birthday at end of week, but otherwise cupboards are really well stocked so next week should be alot lower.0

Just done a list of things I need to buy and luckily its very short, but I am determined to go nowhere near the shops until hopefully at least Fri-sat at the latest.I found a nice Barnsley chop for dinner tonight in the freezer and I am having salad and odds and ends for lunch so that's today sorted out.I have some leeks and a few potatoes that I may turn into soup tomorrow and will use some of my frozen pitta bread as crutons to go with it I think .I have some widnfalls that are going to be turned into a crumble as well this week .every penny saved is more in the purse.0

Hello all!
Didn't really post in the Oct challenge - think I went over budget by about £20 because I had a£70+ App Foods order when they had free delivery..
This month I'm reducing budget from usual £450 to £375 in the hope it will force me to (start to) use up the (large!) stores I have.... So that's £375 for greent for November, please
I'm also allowing myself an additional £50 for any Xmas related GC spends - I don;t think I'll use much, as I've already bought 2 tubs of sweets, & 4 advent calendars and I've no room for any fresh/ frozen stuff!!:o:o
That's for 6 of us (me, DH, DD(almost 14), DS1 (11), DS2 (almost6) and DS3 (2) and 2 guinea pigs (we get another one this week:):)) for food, toiletries, cleaning stuff, newspapers, alcohol and sancks and takeaways....
I also have a spend of £23.19 to declare on day 1 - I went to T's for bread, rolls and cream (all needed) and bought 12 Willow Farm chicken fillets for a total of £12.15 (whoopsied), some peppercorn sauce for DH (to go with all the whoopsied fillet in the freezer!), BOGOF cath city (fave cheese of DS1 & DS2) and 3 teeny choc bears for stockings. Everything except the bread, rolls and cream was on offer/ whoopsied. Still scary how much I spent on 1 carrier bag of shopping though!
If I stay away from the shops I should be ok.... it's the staying away that's the issue:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi,
Food delivery arrived £58.67, then a further £18.41 at the supermarket last night while DD1 was training. On the plus side I picked up some basics cheese, DD3 seemed to like it - imho it was ok - not tried it on the others yet. I just got a small block to start with, I will pick up a big block next time.
Although I am already passed the 1st £100 on the 1st day of my month .
I am trying really hard to remember to take snacks/juice for DD2 & 3 for when DD1/DS1 are training - so I think I maybe need a NSD challenge... Going to go for 15 - I can deal with failure
Debbie - we don't get any trick or treaters here (and we have been here 6 years!) I hide small sweets/lollies in the kids bedrooms for them to go find. Some of DS1's friends took pity on him (as he is 9 and has never trick or treated!) and he went out with them last night - I started them off with a mix-up at home-time.
Best wishes
