Last week I posted a thread describing how our 11-month old 21" Bush TV died. I was grateful to the advise of several MSErs and we have since received a full refund. Here is the link below

My partner and I now wish to buy a replacement which is to be used upstairs as a second TV. Please can anyone recommend a particular brand around the £100 to £150 mark? I don't want to buy another Bush. I have heard about a brand in Argos called Wharfdale and, after Googling, these seem to get mixed reviews.
Neither of us are particularly technical. We would need a TV which would tune to all our channels automatically, we have the 5 UK analogue channels, 4 Irish analogue (RTE etc) and the TV is also connected to a Freeview box and DVD recorder. If we want to access Freeview for viewing or recording, we use the TV/AV button to access AV1 or AV2. The DVD recorder which would be attached can record from analogue or digital.

Thanks for your posts, cmc_entertainment.
While we may well choose a 28" TV, would you recommend those brands mentioned (or any others) for a 21" TV?0 -
In the long term it often works out cheaper to spend a little more on a good brand than to look for the lowest price supermarket TV that might last a year and a day. Stick with products like Panasonic and Sony from dealers who handle those names.0

Asda have a number of TVs that seem to be okay. I bought a "second" one from there before XmasWe all evolve - get on with it0
