Free retro Coca-Cola glasses at McDonalds

I thought the ethos of this site was consumer revenge, so why are some people so eager to advertise Coca Cola free on the side of a glass, or put more money in McDonalds pockets? Most people do not normally buy a large meal so the "would've bought it anyway" doesn't drop.
You can get a set of 6 large, strong glasses in Poundland if you're worried about breaking them...I wouldn't call this a grabbit per se, as they will be making millions of these, so unless you want to bury them in the garden for 100 years, they are about as collectable as bottle tops...0 -
Lol I dropped mine onto the edge of my stainless steel sink yesterday and it survived unscathed!
I must admit though I think the can shaped one's are the best!!0 -
I dropped one at work on to carpet off the desk and it shattered in to a million pieces!Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

The Mcd at Leicester Square has been letting my office buy the glasses (without even bother with the large meals) for 99p. I've been collecting these coke glasses for years (and a shame that this year is not as pretty or colourful as last year's!!) and haven't had one break on me yet =p0

Whether or not you have a large meal or salad, if your a coke zone point collecter its the cheapest way of getting extra points. And if you do enter the points your up for free prizes, i won a £10 amazon mp3 code! Worth buying for 99p!0

Who said its consumer revenge? Its all about alerting consumers to good deals, money saving or not. And if people want to collect branded glasses rather than poundland ones, isnt it up to them? Every promotion run by every company is about putting more money into the company pockets!
If you dont want one dont buy one.simple0 -
Are the final two designs out yet?
I went on Monday but they only had leftover glasses from the first week available.
I haven't found them too bad in terms of robustness. I think they look slightly better quality than the ones I've got left from last year.0 -
So, has anybody won a prize when entering those codes on the back of the coke glass box?
I did not win anything for the first few attempts, but then to my surprise two days ago, entered a code, and won, and won BIG TIME
I have just won one of the Samsung Galaxy Tablets!:D:D:D:D:D
Yipee!:rotfl::rotfl:
Mind you I have a shelf full of about 30 glasses from all the glass promotions that they have ran over the years, and all the glasses are still boxed and unused. May be worth something in a few years like the Natwest Hippo's0 -
Wowwwweeee well done ! What a great win !0

Excellent win, congrats.x__Indigo_x wrote: »i have to agree with some of the above posts... our glass snapped down the side as we were washing it...in a plastic washing up bowl.... hadnt even used it yet! flimsy:mad:
Ironically - it was the glass from Coke Zone themselves that was the flimsiest one I've ever had and it didn't survive the same drop as the MacD's one, or previously properly sturdy glasses.
I regret running out of time on the offer but basically got back to healther grub which was cheaper, once I had one glass to replace the broken one, I didn't feel like I needed another, as they roll around every year.0
