Free retro Coca-Cola glasses at McDonalds

Not only do you have to upgrade to a large meal to get one but despite instore displays which read "Free retro Coke glass with every* large meal" it only applies to certain large meals. My daughter asked for a double cheeseburger large meal and was refused. Seemingly the * refers to some illegible small print at the bottom of the display which gives an obscure definition of the word "every" that I was previously unaware of. Seemingly it means all except hamburgers and cheeseburgers (even double ones) - who knew?

I thought most people did. It doesn't apply to the saver menus. It's the "extra value meals" so the big macs, the quarters with cheese, the big tasty (that's on at the mo) the chicken sandwich etc etc.

double cheeseburgers dont come as a meal, thats why you didnt get the glass

Ive always found them to be quite decent, Ive still got glasses from a few years ago going strong!!

Double cheeseburgers dont come as a meal, if you order a 'double cheeseburger meal' you are just paying for a large fries, a large drink and a double cheeseburger all separate. If you order a big mac meal or a quater pounder meal you pay a 'special' price for all three items i.e. you get them a bit cheaper than if you were to order all three separate. Hope this makes sense!

Just had a Fillet O' Fish meal and got a 1899 glass.

I asked the lady at the counter if they had any other styles and she said you have to collect a different one each week.

Is that right? I would like one of the later square icon design glasses.
