I always convert audiobook CDs to AAC in iTunes then convert to m4b chapterised and upload to my iPod.

Doesn't matter. We already now how big the file is and that it is mp3 format, as wildheart says, it's approx. typically 1 MiB/minute. So there you have five hours. Unless the OP has an MP3 CD player, there is no way to fit it on a cd.
