641 does work when you buy sun stuff and reduced Limited edition kohl palettes! I know I've now got 6!:rotfl:
  • Could someone please confirm whether I could use my point to buy a hair product using the haircare voucher? (ie buy a shampoo for 3.95, use the 3.00 voucher and then the balance of 0.95 use 95 points).
    Thanks

No - sorry that doesn't work! You have to pay the whole amount if using points!

  • Just like to say hello to the old regulars who have returned to the Boots thread recently :T I'm sure many of us have missed out on many glitches without their valuable input. I do hope they decide to stick around.

I'm very much a novice tart because our local store has no AC machine, I'm on a very limited budget and a 2 year old that doesn't appreciate being dragged around Boots shops for miles around, so I don't contribute to the thread but try and take advantage of the glitches I read about.

I'm going to get the suncream 641 deal because my OH has vitiligo and we get through shedloads of the stuff in the summer
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.

It's awful that sales assistants would abuse people like that - I've always been very lucky too. I tend to think Boots know exactly what they're doing with these offers - very often it's old-style-packaging stock, soon out of date stuff, or products going through a major relaunch that these "glitches" happen with! And very seldom do they happen with non-Boots brands. I think they're intended to be more in the style of loss leaders rather than rank stupidity or ignorance, and as such they do work - I've changed my regular brand of many things that I used to get elsewhere to the Boots version after trying out "glitch" products. I'm still buying Smile toothpaste years after that 100 points on any purchase voucher that used to occur on the advantage card machine, for example! Some of the Botanics things are very nice, and I'm sure I'll be buying them again also. I love Boots now, so they also benefit from very positive word of mouth advertising from me!

    Hi there
Planning a trip to boots this afternoon. So much info here it is quite confusing. Please can someone confirm the items I need to buy to qualify for the 641?

Will it work with 4 No7 Suncare items and 2 other No7 items?

Also going to look for Botanics stuff. Can't wait. :j

To make sure you get the 641 it has ALL got to be suncare. A No7 item will work with 2 sun items on the 341 though. But it seems some tills are allowing a No7 item through with 6......not all though...so beware!
Make sure all the sun items are around the same price..... for example all £5.50 or all £8.50 to get the maximum benefit.
