Other than cancelling the transaction whats the best 'cop out' of the buy 1 get 6 free deal if the plug gets pulled? I am in the position of having at least 6 £5 vouchers off no 7...so if i buy just sun products what should I use as back up plan?...separate transactions?...or will the BOGOF or 3 for 2 still kick in...or throwing the vouchers at sa?

And there I was thinking I was paranoid! But he's quite harmless? What role do these security guards play...as I have seen them 'doubling up' on the perfumes counter before now? :rotfl:

In our main branch his role seems to be pointlessly chatting up SA's in a truly creepy manner. In the smaller branch his mate's (about 5 ft tall and 5 stone) is to try to look hard and get in my way.

Edit: sorry that this doesn't have even a scrap of useful information.
  • I bought the cheapest suncare on the shelf...the £5.50 hairstuff. If it didn't work I would only have to have paid for three, minus the £5.00 voucher, leaving £11.50. I was prepared to to take the hit....but I didn't need to it worked! six times!! made up lots of wee gift bags and I'm busy hading them out to my pals, who think I'm a hero!!!!! Be strong, and go for it.
    Good Luck!!
  • OH got it thank you!!

    Hi....

Just to let you know, Boots in Burton-on-Trent have loads of the lipstick bags & burgundy bags BUT because they are selling them at half price (£3.25) the SA's are not taking the £5 vouchers with them ...:(

  • Question?
Got down to my local Boots today but made it late so decided to just buy the stuff I needed to get the £5 no7 voucher & £3 hair one - they were just switching the light off so difficult to see any pricing stickers.
Got to checkout - used the pharmacy one - only to be told that they were totally out of all the vouchers & not expecting more in. Is this normal as the signs are still up in the window?

    Hi all,

    My bootsing today...

Boots 1: wasted trip at lunchtime, discreet hair trimmer doesn't work with 2 sun items. Tried to just get the discreet hair trimmer at another till with £5 no7 voucher but was told I couldn't use it. Not a burgundy bag to be seen considering there were about 20 last week.

Boots 2: £0.50 spent and 252 points onto my Boots card (used £5 voucher and 250points voucher ok :-))
    1 x NO7 Glossy locks hair spritz
    1 x No7 shimmering lip/ eye screen
1 x No7 really renewal body polish (reduced item at £4.50)

Boots 3: £0.84 and 261 points back on advantage card (got SA to see if 3 for 2 would work on the No7 items, she tried but till said no - she said it was because they were reduced)

My NO5 voucher only took off £3 instead of £5 so another kind SA came over to manually deduct another £2 off and manually add the 250 points that didn't go on). Also used £3 haircare voucher.

1 x NO7 Matte lip colour compact (reduced to £3)
1 x NO7 pEACH BLOSSOM LIP GLOSs duo (reduced to £2.25)
1 x Frizzease barrier firm hold hairspray

Anyone know when customer services add points to your card and you can only get it by putting your card in machine, how does that work? i Put my card in the machine but nothing happened and no additional points on my card?? :-(
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

This does sometimes happen with the promotional vouchers. If you have an advantage card you may be awarded some points to your card if you ring up boots customer careline. Otherwise, if possible- could you return the items and buy them again at another store that still has some?
