Ahhh, it's more likely the pesky Holland Park Secondary school kids from up the road (i should know, i was one of them a few years back lol!). See the burly security bloke shoo them out from hovering in the doorway every morning.

Have managed to use a couple of vouchers before on the self scan there, was a QK voucher plus a 50p off something, the SAs which authorise them are usually busy pouring over some forms and papers nearby so they barely paid attention. Same today, only my voucher bleeped that it wasn't valid "yet", so i pocketed it, and took my chocckie milk back to the office :(

The boots is having a refit it seems, half the store (inside) was sealed off, but there was a note on the door saying closed due to power cut. Oops... some builder must've got in trouble...

  • Hi fellow Bootsers - I've been sent a 400pt coupon when you spend £9 on Boots brand Vitamins & Herbal supplements valid til 27/2/2007. It's got my name on it but that doesn't matter, I gather. I will not use it, if you send me SAE I will happily post it to you. PM me for address ;)

Edit: That was quick, voucher is waiting for SAE now :o)

your much better off doing it in boots as say for a £10 topup you'd get 40 points you wouldn't ahve had, every little helps - and i dont think your supposed to get the vouchers when youre only topping up your phone as boots arent making much profit on that as theyre just an agent, but sometimes you'll be lucky & get one, just depends on the SA :j

i top up £5 all the time and always gt a voucher. Today i took stuff back for a refund and got a top up as i could not see anything i wanted. got my parenting voucher as well today so bought the no7 hydro quench sorbet 14.50 and got the wrap and used my 250 points voucher on no 7 too. both sa really helpful and i was worried when i did refund that they would demand free gift back too but nothing was said and i dont honestly think most of staff really understand the all the offers and points as they seem surprised each time i go with new deals. is all no7 bogof or just suncare?
:j I sometimes give myself admirable advice, but am incapable of taking it.

If you dont have any of the new vouchers take a look on E-bay. Ive managed to get £20 worth of coupons for £3.12. I bought them in 2 lots & am really pleased with the price.

I found 2x £2.50 coupons in the baskets by the door in boots, so keep an eye out & hopefully some of you will find some thats been disguarded.

Im not using it yet as Im waiting for my new card, other one dared to die on me............ just as offers were changing. revenge or what!!

Mine died in the middle of the last lot of offers - and some SAs refused to validate my voucher points on my receipt, so I missed out on about £9 of points from vitamins and a 250 point no7 voucher :/ Only took a week for another to come through, which made me happy, but the SA I took my 30 validated receipts to wasn't very happy, lol!

The No7 peel is was £16, but is now half price - scanning at £8. However, the till sees the original price, thinks you've spent over £15 so activates your "free gift over £15 spend" and lets you have the No7 wrap... then makes it half price.

So, you get the wrap free with a £8 spend instead of a £15 minimum one. (or £8.25 if you're me and buy it from expensive kensington lol)

Today I bought 3x smile toothpaste@59p on 3 4 2. Used 100p voucher from ACmachine. Pillow mist@1.00 and 100p voucher, so got it for free:D
Also bought yardley hand cream and got a candle free (didn't think much of the towel) spent 6.00 and received 2.50 vouchers - my first:D

Handed the SA 2x100p vouchers, but only one went through. Went back to her and she called someone over to add on the points. The second SA said you cannot use 2 points vouchers in one transaction - even if they are for different products. Since when?? I told her I'd used more than one before and they'd gone through ok, but she was having none of it. She also tried to tell me you have to use the points vouchers on the day you print them off. Despite pointing out to her they were valid until the end of the month - it was there in black and white for her to see - she still disagreed with me. In the end I got my points owing to me though:D

I couldn't wait to use my new vouchers and headed straight for the face masks. Picked 3 up (2 had been reduced) and took them to the till. Went to the same SA - big mistake:mad: she wouldn't let me use the 2.50 voucher because the masks had been reduced. I said it doesn't say on the voucher you can't use them on reduced items, but she wouldn't budge. Hmm, I must remember to give my local store a miss on a Sunday in future.

    Complain to HQ.
I have terrrible problems with my small Boots, big letter to HQ in progress. WhenI visit other Boots in the area it is such a pleasure I cant believe I let myself be treated in such a shoddy fashion

I had a mixed day of Bootsing today.

At lunchtime I stocked up on ACM vouchers and did the following (luckily got my favourite SA - both friendly and doesn't get confused by too many vouchers/vouchers not working!)
    Transaction 1:
    1 x meal deal (£2.99 each)
2 x Sanctuary Charcoal Detox Masks (£1.79 each)

    Used:
200 points Sanctuary ACM voucher (in spite of it saying it doesn't apply to sachets)
    £2.50 skincare voucher
50p change one thing Shapers voucher
33p half price Snack a Jacks change one thing voucher.

    Transaction 2:
Pillowmist (£1) - using 100 points essential aromatherapy voucher

    Transaction 3:
Sensuous bath essence (£1) - using 100 points essential aromatherapy voucher

    Transaction 4:
Sensous body creme (£1) - using 100 points essential aromatherapy voucher

None of the 100 points were added automatically in spite of the vouchers not beeping. The SA said that it might be because I was buying miniatures, but when I pointed out that it didn't say that on the vouchers she went to the photo desk at the other side of the store to have the supervisor there add my points manually. I have one more of the 100 points vouchers but I think I'll take the calling customer services once I'm home route with that one as I don't really like making a fuss in the shop.

After work I went to the other Boots with a view to using some of my points on No 7 stuff to get a wrap. But they were out of the peels (*wonder if other MSErs got there first*) and their range of other stuff was mostly makeup which I don't really wear. So I'll have to look in the big Boots on Wednesday when my friend's off watching England play and I can wander around and look for stuff without feeling I'm boring him.

I do have a couple of questions for the more experiences Bootsers:

Is the £2 off the Sanctuary easy to extract from the Wrap? I think I'm looking at two transactions on Wednesday - one of No 7 and then another for the Sanctuary (342/ACM voucher/Wrap Voucher) - but I don't want to be drawing too much attention to myself trying to extract the wrap!

Is there a limit to the number of instances of a particular ACM voucher you can print off? I got 3xSanctuary and 1xEssential Aromatherapy vouchers on Saturday, went back today and it would only let me get 2xSanctuary and 4xEssential Aromatherapy. The later I tried the machine in the other store and it wouldn't show me those offers - so is that it for me? Or might they reappear if I try again some other time?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for the No7 if I can't find the peel - I'd rather go for body products - definitely not makeup. Thanks :)

Thanks very much for all the help and advice and information in this thread - I'm learning so much from you all.
