Hi Soozj22, I didn't use the ACM voucher for my 342 but the voucher in the No7 jewellery wrap. Hope this helps!

It would be great if people could post which sanctuary products they have bought with which combination of vouchers.

I have only got the Mint & Rosemary mask, £2.50 - £2.50 voucher, with 200 points from the ACM. This is a great product by the way.

for those on this thread that are also addicted to pigsback (like myself,) i thought it worth mentioning that you can now earn 5 piggypoints per £ on pigsback when you shop with boots.com!!!!!!!!!:T

If anyone would like to PM me any of the Sanctuary items that have worked with:
    -the £2.50 voucher
-the 200 points from the ACM machine
    - the £2 in the no7 jewellery wrap
    -342 or reduced items
    -any of the above/other

then I will happily collate the items and send them off to poor old sick as a pig supernoodle (see post one!) as that will be one less thing for her to do!

Thats if everyone doesnt mind me doing that!

All Sanctuary items - please PM me and I will do my very best to make a long list of what works and what doesnt so that we can include it on post one for everyone to get the best out of the offers! :money:

I think Freebie Junkie is the best person to ask re: trading etc!

I can't get my head around it..but, think if you get a freebie and sell it, technically you should pay tax on any money you make, but if you have paid for it, and already paid tax on that purchase, you shouldnt need to be taxed on it again if you sell it!

I've confused myself now!!! Was trying to be helpful - honest!!!:rotfl:

Hi all. Hope this helps the question of tax - it's a link to the relevant bits on the Inland Revenue site about trading or selling your own possessions. Bits to note are the Capital Gains and the Income Tax. Am self employed so familiar with this!
    Inland REvenue link

If you buy goods to resell you are technically trading, if you sell goods you 'own' you are liable to capital gains tax on the profit you make if the item is worth over £6k when you sell it, and if you have made more than £8,800 profit in the tax year 2006/7.

If Boots' generous freebies are technically gifts, they may fall into the category of chattels worth under 6k so not be taxable ... within reason;)

So this doesnt apply to me possibly flogging 3 or 4 excess boots items when I go to a carboots sale next week with all my junk?

Peel didn't go through for me today - apparently they were told that people were abusing this and they'd been notified, and I just smiled sweetly and said "what deal? is it cheaper?" Got a £2 no7 box, some salt scrub, over a fiver, new voucher, then found 2 in baskets at the entrance :D
