Last year the tills were recognising free items as part of the £15 you needed to spend, so people were buying 2 x £7.50 suncare, which was on BOGOF then again, and handing over a £5 no 7 voucher (which were around again then too) and getting both items plus the free gift for £2.50.
So there may be a real bargain to be had, will just have to wait to try it though!
btw, thanks to all those people who welcomed us old bootsers back to the thread, some of your posts saying hi and thanks seem to have been deleted, but the sentiments were much appreciated :j
That should work similar to last years purple bag offer.... or so we hope. If any SA says the gift does not go you can always say please try... Politeness and assertiveness will take you far.0 -

Just to say, the 342 on No.7 appears to expire on 30th and the gift set only come out on the 31st, so that may be a problem.0 -

Just to let people know the vouchers didn't work for me. I bought a lipstick bag the other day and the £5 voucher didn't work and in another transaction bought a reduced professional haircare item and the £3 voucher didn't work either. I didn't realise until afterwards and now I've wasted a couple of vouchers :mad:Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

So should I keep a £5 voucher until this bag or whatever appears on the shelves?0

Going to try my first 6-4-1 today so wish me luck! x
I think you'll find nearly all the posts were deleted - which is a shame because I think many people were prepared to come back and bring A LOT of boots knowledge with them - such as the post about by Mummysaver which gave details of how the free gift worked last year.
It would appear that despite so many saying they were glad to have the old posters back we're still not welcome by somebody?
To make this boots related and to avoid it being deleted I can say that the 342 including the electrical 1/2 price items with the £5 voucher did not work today in a store it worked in at the weekend - this has been noted by someone else - but I would say this is now a definate no go!
and that's the last from me on this thread as I'm sure it will be for a lot of the returners - I think we know where we are not wanted.0 -

Well if you think you might want it more than reduced suncare, yes! The bag looks quite nice and I remember the contents seemed quite good too. And as it will only cost you £10 real money if you use your voucher it's probably worth it, might be even better value if 2 for 1 and 3 for 2 are still working then!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Try phoning customer services and they may give you the points on your card. The voucher went through fine with the bag when I and others have used it, but I think it does say can't be used with reduced items on it, but still the SA should have returned it to you. So probably best to say you hadn't realised that it wouldn't work, and that it just wasn't given back to you.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
