beachlou wrote:Did another 641 today and am a bit angry. I bought various suncreams, with the most being £12. they all went through the till and it came to £14. Used the £5 voucher, so £9 in total, I was expecting it to be £12. SO checked my receipt and they took the cheapest item (£9.50) off twice-I only bought one! really annoying!!
And they didn't give me another voucher. Reckon I can email and complain about this?
I think I know why this is. Although we've all been calling this a 6 for 1, it isn't quite that simple. What the till does is arrange your items in price order,(regardless of how you put them through). Let's call the most expensive item No 1 and the cheapest item No 6.
For the BOGOF what the till does is give you every second item free - items 2,4 and 6.
For the 3 for 2 offer the till gives you every third item free - items 3 and 6.
Hence you get the cheapest item refunded twice, and don't get the 5th item refunded at all. Most people haven't noticed this, because they have been buying items of similar prices, or buying pairs of items.
However if you buy (for example) two items at 11.00, two at 9.50, one at 7.50 and one at 5.50, you would end up being charged £13 (ie £2 more than you expect). This is because the £7.50 item is NOT refunded, but the £5.50 one is refunded twice)
This probably sounds loads more complicated than it is, but all you need to remember is make sure your cheapest two items are the same price.
And remember- don't forget to rummage in that big white drawer under the No 7 stand if you can't find what you want on the shelves!
Also I noticed today that every sales assistant was trying hard to split my 6 items into two lots ("you can get two vouchers that way" - yeah and pay loads more I thought  ) - I'm sure they must have been told to do it. Another incident that gave me LOADs of pleasure was when two No 7 SAs looked in my basket and gave me a really dirty look (I was off to pay at another till!) and I heard one say "never mind, only another few days of this to go"!!!!!!0 -
I've just come back from Merthyr, the shelves were full none of the NO7 Stuff had been touched, of course I left leaving the shelves nearly bare!!
I also bought 2 of the suncare items at £11.50 then bought the Foundation for £13.50, had a voucher from the AC Machine for 200points when buying that foundation and a free box of No7 Goodies, total spend £8.50 with £2.00 back on my card!
Pebojuno was there much in Swansea? went on Monday and they didn't have much, was also amazed to find they were promoting the 641 offer!:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
thanks Sonee 2405 the question is how do I return this without looking dodgy. Would I be better off just returning the 3 sunless gift bags ? I thought I had had read on here about gift bags but must have got muddled up.0

Boots.com seems to have had some reduced SALE items added recently, and they have 10% off £35 spend or more this weekend (26 - 29 January)
Lynx, FCUK and Adidas shower gel/deodorant boxes are the biggest bargains I noticed.
I've just bought about £100 of bits and pieces for £33, including free delivery.0 -
