Be more specific as the question doesn't make senseMinds are like parachutes - they only function when open.

Do NHS Direct have the impression that you might harm yourself?
If so and they have sent the Police to your home then I doubt they would leave until they are assured that there is no risk to your life. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I thought of that Pam-however, if your thoughts were to harm yourself- would you have the presence of mind to log onto MSE and ask the question?Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Some of the OP's recent posts have been a little concerning.
OP, if the police are concerned for either the welfare of yourself or someone else in the household they are there to help. If needed, they can help you with accessing other support services also.0 -
The Police will force their way into the house if they think for any reason there may be a problem,
I live alone and when i didn't turn up at the gym one morning one of the women there said she was worried about me, I wasn't well and had gone to bed early and was fast asleep never heard her knocking on the door. I was woken up when the Police kicked my front door down.
They said if they get a report they have to act on it. It took about a year for me to get them to pay for the door they damaged.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

True but as bobajob pointed out some of the OP's recent posts have been a little concerning and perhaps they need some support be it from a relative or a Police Officer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Bob, you're right- I've just read some of them. And yes- they are a tad...worrying.
I didn't mean to be flippant but when I was in a bad place 6 years ago-my last thought was posting to strangers on t'internet. Friends, Samaritans, family-yes. Strangers who may not answer my immediate problem- no.Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If theres a 'cause for concern' the police can and will force entry......they did this to a neighbour of mine recently as he'd sent a 'worrying' text to his son.0
