Ocado rising my delivery pass fee? (from £9.99?)

I have just received an email from Ocado stating that my ocado delivery pass will go from £9.99 to £10.99 on 24th november.
Some people seems to pay way less than me, like £6.99 or even £3.99.
Why is that?
Is it following where you live?
I feel like cancelling my ocado pass and try another store right now.
I don't know if it was with ocado, but I remember before that the price of the delivery was written next to the slot. Now i can't see it.
How do I go about seeing the normal delivery cost of my regular slot, to see whether I pay more or less with my pass than the "normal" delivery cost?

Maybe sign up as a new customer, just out of interest what does this pass thing give you.0

You pay a monthly fee for the delivery, then you don't pay anything more in the month for the delivery, so the more often you order the more you save. (I personally need to order only once a week). It gives you a weekly regular slot, and they create an order for that slot in advance.
You seems to have priority on Christmas slots too.
Without it, I used to pay £5.99 for delivery every time, as at the time you needed to spend at least £75 to have free delivery. I don't spend that much for myself, so I always used to have to pay the delivery. At the time it seemed a good idea (and it was).
Now I have seen a few threads with people saying that they pay less than that, I thought it was still good as I was still paying far less for my delivery.
But now, it seems that I will be paying more while those people will still be paying less (at least it looks like it).
Are they penalising the regular customers and give better deals to new customers?0 -
I had an ocado account for a while and only made a few orders on it, I was offered a free midweek delivery pass for 3 months and then I think I get to purchase it for a cheaper rate, can't remember exactly but under a fiver I think. So it seems the way to do it is to not shop with them for a while0

I just cancelled mine as my £3.99 a mth for 12mths expired. If I login to my account now and see what the delivery pass options I can have a midweek only pass for £2.99 a mth or anytime for £6.99
might be worth cancelling and then resigning upLBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]

My Ocado delivery pass was cut to £6.99 from £9.99 a few months back.
I find it convenient because the minimum order is £40 and I can always bulk it out with dog food which we buy anyway and isn't really cheaper elsewhere.
Before I had delivery pass, I used to get regular emails from them with £10 or £15 off £75 or £85. Not anymore. And there were free delivery slots available.0 -

ah i understand, well maybe try signing up as a new customer and see how much the del fee is or cancel then re sign as a new customer.0 -
When the same happened to me I sent an email late one evening to the CEO politely complaining about longstanding loyal customers being penalised. I had a phone call within the hour from a member of the Ocado team and my charge was reduced to £3.99 a month.0

I shop with Ocado every week. I've always thought it worked like this. You pay more for peak or busy periods, just like on the trains or buses. So if you want to order in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week - it's free (or cheap), but if you want to order on a Friday night or Saturday morning it costs more. I'm guessing that if anyones getting offered a free or cheap midweek pass it's because that's when it's normally quiet & they want more people to pick those. The slots are cheapest in the late evenings & in the middle of the day... the cheapest ones of these are midweek. I don't have a pass, but if you want the cheapest pass, go for a midweek / midday option0

I changed to Waitrose because of the high delivery charge with Ocado as Waitrose are free to deliver over £50. I have an account with Ocado and so does my daughter who lives with me and they charge us entirely different delivery charges - despite living at the same address - for delivering the same day, same time.
Has anyone had problems with the checking out page . The drop down menue on the card you want to pay with isn't working. ?0 -
Thanks, I think I'll try to cancel my delivery pass before the 24th november. I just want to book my Christmas delivery first. It seems the ones with a delivery pass have priority on Christmas slots. As you pay extra on delivery for those slots anyway, it doesn't make any difference whether you have a pass or not for the Christmas delivery charges.
Where do you find the CEO email address?I don't have a pass, but if you want the cheapest pass, go for a midweek / midday option
Not an option when you work all day and no one is there to receive the delivery.0
