SE K800i or Nokia N73 ?

My contract is nearly up and cant decide which of these two phones to get. Both have similar specs ie. 3.2 pix cam, size etc
I currently have a SE K750i and I think its great so I'm more inclined to go for the K800i.
Any advice from existing users?

I have a K800i and have had it for about 7 months now and it really is a cracking phone which produced some great shots on my holiday in America before christmas.

Not used the N73, but if you like the K750i then the K800i would be the sensible step up.

Let us know what you decide.

The N73 is more versatile if you want more than just a phone and a camera. It has the excellent Nokia web browser and you can run several satnav programs on it including Tom Tom and, my personal preference, Navicore.

unless you want a smartphone, go for the k800i
n73 - is slow, bit long winded, not worth it unless you really want the features

I was in the same position as you and couldnt decide between the two phones. I chose the nokia N73 as it has more features, they are both good phones but it depends what features you are looking for!

I mystery shopped Orange on Saturday and the assistant was telling me that a lot of the new Nokias have been coming back with faults so she recommended the SE.

i would usually say what she had said but n73 was completely withdrawn by orange retail
    and re-released with new software,
which so far i havent seen any returns of,
but hasnt speeded it up or anything really i dont think

  • My N80 also had this problem with the software and when I phoned o2 to complain, they said the same thing as dawnybabes experience in Orange. I don't think I would ever get a Nokia again.
Forgot to add that I now have a SE K800i and it is fab! Camera is outstanding and has a lot of good features, typical SE menus are easy to use too. I feel Nokias have went a bit 'computer' menu like.

n80 was withdrawn and never re-released by orange
    beyond help i believe
the n-series has been a real let down

  • I think they perhaps just tried to pack too much in. Mines just crashed constantly even when doing something simple like sending a text. Had to have it reset around 3 times.
To the OP, I would definetely go with the SE. My mum is using a SE from around 3/4 years ago (big chunky swivel thing, incase anyone wants to look it up), and the camera quality on it is comparable to most phones nowadays!

edit: SE S700 is the one my mum has from years ago, I think it shows how far ahead SE are of their rivals!
