The heels are so basly put together and stitched that there are effectively two large, hard lumps which stick into the back of your ankle when you walk.
The boots also come up EXTREMELY small and the lining feels synthetic and scratchy rather than soft and woolly
I got a pair of "Just Sheepskin" boots in the sale a couple of years ago and they are far superior to the Bearpaw ones. Think I'll just have to stitch the hole in the toe and keep wearing them even if they are old - I only ever wear them indoors as slippers anyway.
Real shame because I thought Bearpaw were supposed to be good but after reading some of the comments on Amazon reviews, it seems like i'm not the only person questioning the quality of these boots.
I tried a pair on instore and found they were very small ( i am a size 5 but do have wide feet) i didnt like the way the inside was rough like very cheap fake fur rather than the snuggly soft stuff i expected i didnt buy them. shame as they look ok on the outside. i expected "outdoor slippers" x0 -
Mine don't have a vinyl logo. I bought mine in store, and there appeared to be two sorts, one with a 'plain' front (where the toes are) and one that appeared 'reinforced'. I went for the plain as they look more like the expensive Ugg boots. They have a zig zag sole with a small logo in the centre, a small Bearpaw fabric tag at the top of the boot, and a fabric bear paw on the back of the heel. I don't know if the reinforced toe ones had different logos, I didn't look.
I bought a US size 6 (UK 4) as I'm a UK 5. This is pretty standard with Uggs of all makes. The cheaper they are the smaller you need to go as they will stretch more (eg if desperate and I buy some from say a high street cheapie shoe store, I'd buy a UK3 even though I'm a wide UK 5.)
I bought the 'Chestnut' (I assume!) colour, which is a bit lighter than the Ugg Australia chestnut, but darker than their camel. I'm happy with them

HI
I got mine delivered this week and they are exactly as you have described. They are lovely and soft inside and they must be tough as I had to heave and pull to get my foot into them. I didn't worry about that as I assume they will stretch.. I am very happy with them
Cheers

This was why I was worried about ordering them, there seems to be some variation as to what type you get! My daughter bought hers from QVC and they are lovely, although they too come up a bit snug. She takes a size 7 shoe but could have done with an 8. We wondered why the size 8 went limited stock very quickly, when she received them she found out why! They're not too small to wear though (otherwise they would have gone straight back) but it's worth bearing in mind with Bearpaw.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0

Just got mine today size 8 ,again zigzag on sole , and little paw mottiff on the heel, but the inside says suede and sheepskinlining, and they fit fine, and for £30 im more than happy, does say made in china, but maybe they all come from there, who knows0

I think the ones in my store are def genuine american bearpaws, in mine they had three styles, Eva, Emma and Dream, if you look on the american bearpaw website you can see all these styles and that they have different sole patterns.
None seemed to have a paw print that someone mentioned, I think they've updated them as even on the bearpaw website the emma style have a sort of leaves pattern and one bear 'claw' and the eva have the plainer zigzag pattern with bearpaw written on. The eva also have the cheaper looking plastic tag on the back, the emmas have the fabric one.
The dream style are the ones with the really really chunky sole, they look like they're meant for hiking. IMO the eva ones looked like the cheapest made, the emmas look like nice all rounders and the dream look like for serious walking
.
In my TK Maxx (south west) all the boots had a fabric label inside, on this at the top was printed the name (eva, emma, dream) and size (8 or 10 or 12 inch) so if you're wondering what you've got maybe you could check you label? Hope that helps clear up some confusion.
I'm on the look out for any 12 inch (tall) emmas (with the leaf print sole and fabric tag on the back) in the chestnut or grey colour but had no luck yet, if anyone spots these in cornwall or I suppose devon please let me know, thanks.Started Comping 25th September 2013.

I hate my bear paws small fitting, heel colapsed and it would suprise me if they are not sheepskin! They feel nothing like my uggs or Costco Sheepskin boots!
For the nxt best thing to uggs have a look at costco Kirkland shearling boots! £35 all bar a few pence and are super!DFW Nerd #awaiting number - Proud to be dealing with my debts!

They had 2 different types of boots in today, tried both on one had much softer inside both still came up a bit small but both were nicer than the first pair i tried. it would seem there is some variation on styles as the first pair felt cheap inside these both felt nicer but one pair was lovely i ddnt buy as i was worried about the stretch, by how much do they normally stretch by? im usually a UK size 5 but i do have wide feet. i could get a 6 on but it was still tight what size do you think i should get? x0
