Bearpaw sheepskin boots tkmax 29.99 *UPDATED*
Comments
-
My daughter is on her 3rd pair of BP's and they outlasted her friends Uggs. However she normally buys them from TK's and the one pair she bought from Amazon were of a lesser quality in terms of quality of sheepskin.
Spoke to CS at TK's regarding 29.99/34.99 for what appears to be same boot and really helpful guy went away and came back to say they buy from different suppliers and the price difference is just in the mark-up they add to the price they paid. I ordered both variants just to be sure it wasn't thin sheepskin like DD got from Amazon. HTH;)
Thankyou lucys mum.
Have they got the Bearpaw print all over the sole of the boots? Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
I'm wondering now if these are the real Bearpaw boots - with the trademark Bearpaw 'paws' all over the sole of the boots - as no-one has replied to say any different. The pics on Amazon show the underneath of the boots with their trademark. Think I'll give this one a miss.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0

tkmaxx's labels are the same as the bearpaw website, i have bearpaws a few years ago and they seem to have changed the logo twice. If you look at the american site different boots have different soles. Never known tkmaxx to sell fakes.

As expected boots have arrived, firstly they are very very good quality,i think even sturdier and with thicker sheepskin lining than my Bearpaw Emma from last year, they dont have the same sole,no pawprints, just kinda zigzagz, with an oval bearpaw logo in the middle of the sole(some of the US bearpaws have this sole), Despatch note describes them as "classic sole shee"...label in boot looks like Evana short 8,I do like them BUT!,heres the but,the logo at the back is horrible, its not like my last pair which have the kinda patch sewn on bearpaw logo, this is a kinda plasticy/vinyl white oval shape with a black claw in the middle,it realy does detract from the boot,(even if the logo wasnt so white against the black boot it would look better)..if they had the traditional stiched on label i would have no hesitation in keeping them...Think im gonna have to show them to eldest (they were supposed to be one of her surprise christmas presents),if she doesnt mind the odd logo, then il keep them no probs,if not, then im gonna do a return to store.
PS,Another thing i wasnt too impressed with is the fact they didnt come in bearpaw boxes like the amazon/javari ones, just a poly bag, trivial i know, but a box is nice when buying as a gift for someone.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

Update, daughter likes the boots, hates the vinyl logo...said it reminded her of when i used to buy her Barbie Tshirts with plasticy embossed Barbie pictures on that cracked and flaked when washed...Nice lol,...looks like im returning to store, shame cos they are good value.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

Got my pair today and they are going straight back for a refund, I'm afraid.
The heels are so basly put together and stitched that there are effectively two large, hard lumps which stick into the back of your ankle when you walk.
The boots also come up EXTREMELY small and the lining feels synthetic and scratchy rather than soft and woolly
I got a pair of "Just Sheepskin" boots in the sale a couple of years ago and they are far superior to the Bearpaw ones. Think I'll just have to stitch the hole in the toe and keep wearing them even if they are old - I only ever wear them indoors as slippers anyway.
Real shame because I thought Bearpaw were supposed to be good but after reading some of the comments on Amazon reviews, it seems like i'm not the only person questioning the quality of these boots.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
